Can't talk about gears of war since I have only played the old ones but people are positive about it and the gears 4 got a pro league for the first time. So I have heard at least.
Halo 5's MP is a 10/10 if you look at it now. It had a bad start with no infection and forge the first month but God I love the game. Clearly equal if not superior to halo 2's MP. The way they did the search system for custom games is a real good improvement as well. If I start up some nostalgia game like duck hunt or fat kid I will have a 16 people lobby in less than 5 minutes so that should say quite a lot about the community

This generation was over before it even began. All thanks to Microsoft being Microsoft. They were pushing for ridiculously invasive policies that in no way helped gamers or gaming as a whole. When pre-orders for their new system started being cancelled in large numbers, they knew they messed up.
Xbone is actually a super sweet piracy box, there are tons of legit apps on the store for streaming free movies and TV and anime.
There's even a gelbooru app, totally legit.
MS store apparently approves fucking everything with no real oversight.
I totally agree that M$ lost this generation but losing in sales and even in popularity doesn't make the ps4 better than the Xbox one what many people seem to think.

In my experience steam maxes out at around 60MB/s (480Mpb/s), Xbox maxes out at around 35MB/s (280Mpb/s). PSN doesn't show download speed and I'm not autistic enough to calculate it by total download time / download size, but it seems to be around Xbox's level.

Nephew got an xbone (he wanted a ps4 lol) for christmas and christ on a fucking stick, that thing that ages to install games and I actually had to google around for a hotfix because cawadooty wasn't getting installed properly. And not only that but even though the thing is fucking gigantic, it still has the most massive power brick I have ever seen. MS pretty much just slapped an xbox branded normal sized PSU to the wire and called it a day. What a garbage console.

It's cheaper in the long run to get a decent gaming PC that will last a few generations then it is to buy a new console every generation. Add to that the price for new console games and the online services you need to pay, it all adds up quickly.
Consoles don't miss out on any of the releases, be it either japanese or western stuff, whereas you don't need more than a laptop to experience pc's finest games because all of the demanding ones are just console ports and most aren't even good in the first place.

PC is great because it's timeless and versatile. You're stuck playing your 5 exclusives and multiplats while PC can go and play any of the games of the past and any of the exclusives that are available via emulation. It's a grand archive.
I own a piss poor, an Xbone and a PC and while I agree that those are pretty good points in favour of the Xbone, it's still not great. The system of sharing gameplay is pretty unconventional and unintuitave, unlike on the PissPoor. The only exclusive that's really resonated with me so far has been Sunset Overdrive; I'd probably like MCC if it actually fucking worked, but matchmaking is still fucked. Also the UI's still kind of clunky and slow in comparison to the piss poor, and (most importanty) only about 5/6 of my friends actually own the fuckers, so it's rare that I actually sit down and play multiplayer games on the XBone.
It's not bad but it's definitely weaker in comparison to the PS4. Who knows, maybe Scorpio will be great.
