Currently an industrial engineering manager, would like to transition to biomedical some day. Saving up for grad school.

Why not be a cool FBI detective like in my western police cartoons?
Dragon's Dogma
Industrial and Systems Engineering, plan to join the military
Dark Cloud
Computer Science major
It'd be cool to be on some game dev team. Either that or something involving programming.
LAPD pays better. Wanna be a detective :/
.hack//G.U.
I don't know what a major is.
I've been to university, too.
>Halo: Combat Evolved
>Biomedical Engineering
I only chose this major because my father works in this field and he can guarantee me a position as soon as I graduate
>peds

Has the panic set in for you yet? Graduated in december and still no job.
That shit takes like 2 months. I was an EMT for just under 3 years, it was fun but not worth the shit pay. Prepare to go back to school, son
Sounds easy enough. Who calls geek squad other than old people with simple computer problems?
But in all seriousness, I have friends with family connections to Google, and there are Google offices in my city, so I wanna at least score an internship there. If not, I'll find some other IT shit to do or smthn
Soul series, from DeS to DS3, including BB
In the Navy and studying Industrial Hygiene. I want to work on ships.
I'm interning, and they've already drawn up a contract to hire me. Did you not intern during your time in college?
What are you, fucking STUPID
I graduate next year, and I have some friends in decent positions who could vouch for me. My grades are pretty great but I'm such a fucking awkward guy that I'm pretty ass about networking, so I'm a little worried, yeah.
Dark Souls
Mechanical Engineer
Currently working in aerospace
How much better?
If it's not that much of a difference then follow your dreams user. I'd rather do something that I enjoy than get paid to waste my life on a boring job.
>I want to at least get an internship at Google
Good luck, daddy's boy.
I plan on it. It's a stepping stone.
Not user, but where are you interning? I've always wondered where Communications majors end up, if not on the streets
>being salty about having no connections
Lol fuck you, get better relatives or learn how to network
I interned at a food bank.
A big one, with a good office, but it was full of women and I don't care enough about poor people to want to work there.
idk I was lying tbhonest, I don't even study communications
>Bioshock 2
>Double major music business/business administration
The plan is to completely own my own record label and I'm well on the way there
>that immediate butthurt response
Pathetic. I'm going to screencap this transaction and send it to Google.
How many people have been dropped from the course so far? Are there a lot of white milfs? Fuck, I loved EMT class. I wish it were longer
Boi you know philosophy will only get you a job as a philosophy teacher right?
I hope stock grandpa sees these. I hope thye make him smile
Not before I have them ban your IP, poorfag :3
No you're not, name your top 3 bands cunt
>Mince my words so I sound like a pretentious faggot
>"Daddy's boy" insult
wew lad. You sure got me. By "at least score an internship there" I was talking about interning vs working there. If I can't get job there I at least want to score the opportunity to intern there. Sorry I want to do cool shit with my education.
It starts in fall. I'm in the middle of getting all the immunization updates and shit.
Persona 3
nursingI think I wanna be a military nurse
If your English is really this terrible, you're not going to get an internship.
Nice, I've been working at Fuji for about a year now. Pay is great, work is generally easy, the only complaints I have involve the customers that I'm forced to deal with.
Paper Mario
Computer Science major, already graduated; unemployed; systems admin
Well shit. You got me.
>gets a degree in communism
>can't communicate
Either Bioshock Infinite or Dragon's Dogma
I have a chemistry degree, I quit grad school because I couldn't stop thinking of suicide
I keep getting told I'm overqualified for lab monkey jobs so I'm gonna do some CS and do scientific software
>Grammar policing on Sup Forums
Is this what we've come to?
Oh. It'll seem overwhelming at first, especially since you NEED to pass every single exam/test/quiz you are given, but it isn't bad at all. Good luck mang
I can communicate, just not very well in person. Autism is a hell of a ride, user.
I'm 31 and haven't been to college for a while, so I'm aware user.
So then why the FUCK did you choose communications?
Because I'm damn good at video production and post production.
Thanks man. I appreciate it. Good luck to you in your own endeavors.
Life tip user: if you "think" you're there, you're no.
Says who? You're still unemployed, stoopid
Its okay, your daddy can network for you and learn you to type real good.
Thanks babe
Why not choose a film production major (assuming that exists)?
Aria of Sorrow
I did Geology and Mining then Public Law.
I work in surveying and cadastre.
Threads like this will only be used against your interests in the future. Sup Forums is anonymous for a reason.
You fucking idiots.
Ok, user. With my daddy and his connections I will rake in more cash than you in my lifetime. Thanks for the support :D
I'm actually not, and I never claimed to be unemployed in this thread.
Less versatile.
Used like what?
Deus Ex
Animation, I want to work at anything art related that doesn't pay outrageously bad
Favorite game varies.
>Conceptually
Dwarf Fortress
Civilization
Sim City
Minecraft
sRPGs like Final Fantasy Tactics/Advance/A2, Ogre Battle, Fire Emblem, etc
>Time played over all time
World of Warcraft
Skyrim
Ragnarok Online
>Time played recently
Fallout 4
Overwatch
Heroes of the Storm
>Major
Engineering.
BS in Mechanical, MS in Electrical, with minors in Programming/CS.
Because legit Mechatronics degrees aren't offered near me but I still wanna work on robots/automated control systems/etc.
>Less versatile
Fair enough. Good luck with that
It's hard for me to pick one and stick with it, but Mischief Makers has always been up there for me.
Film Major, with a focus on editing
I'm editing footage of local semi-pro sports teams. It pays well enough and I live a low maintenance life but it's extremely unfulfilling work. It used to be a lot more demanding until I told my boss that I'm quitting. Apparently, I'm more needed than I realized so I was given a raise and less hours. I'm now using the extra free time to put up video game reviews on youtube. It's always been my dream to have a job doing video game reviews, which came from my love of EGM in middle school. My lofty dream is to get hired and start getting paid as a reviewer or vidya jurno. Basically, I want to become that which I hate. It'll probably never happen but I want to try.
New Vegas
Undeclared, just finished freshman year
I want to study literature or history, but I dunno if I'm ready to accept my inevitable fate of being a depressed, regret-filled high school teacher
How do you cope when the person you're talking to doesn't want for money? Do you just fold in on yourself when you realize what a miserable person you are with absolutely nothing to offer to anyone?
Thanks, user. I think I'll be okay, and I have wealthy parents to mooch off while I'm figuring it out.
>Golden Sun TLA
>Religious Studies major, Islamic Studies masters. Currently working for the gubbament but I'd like a cushy university job
Blah, my bad. I don't know why the fuck I wrote a blog.
>MY FAMILY IS RICHER THAN YOURS
Why are you so insecure?
>Mischief Makers
Mein Nigger
Speaking of which i should probably play through it again.
Shadow of the Colossus
Health Science, to become a pharmacist.
Was planning on shooting for doctor until I realized in anatomy class that I'm a squeamish baby.
Oh shit, Dr. Phil's already started my psychoanalysis! Sup Forums is so fucking predictable.
Anatomy class was such a ride. All those optimistic pre-med majors becoming disillusioned in a matter of weeks.
>Sup Forums is so fucking predictable.
In what way? Calling out a moron without talent who is taking the bait every time?
lol you're a nerd bro, fuck off
Resident Evil 4
Art
I want to work in advertising
You definitely don't seem insecure dude
>Metal Gear Solid 3
>Marketing/Graphic Design
>I'm fucked
It's fun bait to play with
Freshman year high school or college? Either way, start getting your shit together. You'll probably be miserable either way but it's all about being less miserable.
They do threads like this.
>Enough majors are in social sciences, they move to pushing more lefty shit than normal.
>Too many majors in STEM and they throttle their approach, meter it, then try this thread in a month.
>See what changes.
>Keep doing this until you don't realize they've created a subcult that would have been ousted but wasn't because they did it smart and slow.
Go take a look at Sup Forums and see how it happens. Make a thread asking what Sup Forums was like in 2011. Odds are, you will get banned. You, being an outsider would think it was weird, but all the silent objectors to what has happened to that board over there would see your post and laugh, knowing what will happen to you for being foolish enough to ask.
As a general rule, don't give any identifying information on Sup Forums. I don't mean info we can identify YOU with, I mean any info that could be used to identify a PERSON. It will, and always has been, used against you when it happens.
Think to yourself, why would a person ever want to know what your college education is when asking your favorite game? to build psych profiles and nothing more. If someone wants to know why you liked a game which is the more reasonable follow up
>why did you like that game?
>what is your highest form of education and what did you study?
It will be used against you, and with efficiency because you aided them directly.
Also gives you the foundation to not really give a shit comfortably
>Fallout 2
>Communication Sciences
Might continue studying afterwards to get something less memey. But if a good job falls into my lap, I'll pursue that.
You know what?
That image just pisses me off.
I've heard hours of bullshit about how dialectic reasoning is sexist because confrontation/disagreement is masculine thus masculinity dominates philosophy thus women can't learn it.
But holy fuck. Nature is confrontation. Everything is trying to kill us at all times.
How are dialectics not just the equivalent of a physicist testing their hypotheses on 1- and 2-dimensional systems before expanding them to 3rd/4th/5th/etc systems?
You don't learn about Newton's Laws in the first place by simulating a star system or galacy. You begin with two points of some generic mass and work out their behavior in 1 dimension. Than expand to 2. Then 3. And so on and so forth until you're simulating the motions of galaxies in a cluster.
Not a Philosophy nerd, so maybe this is obvious in Philosophy. But I've never heard anyone else bother to say it.
>Starcraft Broodwar
>Lawl was too lazy for college
Got a comfy job as a school head custodian. The pay and benefits are amazing for being an uneducated fuck like myself.
My school's "thing" is that everyone's a damn nurse. The nursing program is so huge compared to everything else, it's nuts. Might be why I didn't notice many people drop that anatomy class.
I did have around 75% of a random biology class drop this semester because the teacher is notoriously difficult.
Currently getting an A, feels good.
>Anatomy class was such a ride. All those optimistic pre-med majors becoming disillusioned in a matter of weeks.
I'm a pre-med major about to go to my first year of college (I'm 18 fuck you Hiroshimoot). How hard is Anatomy class in college compared to Anatomy class in high school? I loved the class but got a C because my interest didn't click until later in the school year.
>nerd
>on Sup Forums
Who'd have ever thought it could happen?!
