Geralt is the worst fucking offender. He was reduced to a sarcastic handsome self-insert. You play as a predefined character but the game allows you to act completely out of character in almost every single piece of dialogue. Fuck you if you think that's okay, The Witcher 3 shouldn't have been an RPG.

Also the game completely raped the lore by retconning the White Frost.

Tw3 is reddit. This game was literally made for the console/skyrim audience.

They stated in september 2015 that a lions share of the studio has been working on Cyberpunk 2077 for a while now.

I am genuinely worried for Cyberpunk - i feel like it's going to be so over-hyped, that when it eventually does come out, it will turn out to be a good game - but just that. And people will shit on it saying "is this it? What i've been hyped for since 2013?"

As long as it's slightly better than the Witcher 3, then it'll be a great game and there's nothing to worry about.

Also, it hasn't really been that hyped, most normies have no fucking clue about this game, and they've only released a single trailer for it.

I can't see it being anything short of amazing. Mike Pondsmith is working closely with CDPR, their goverment is funding the game, literally the whole economy of Poland is hanging on CDPRs shoulders. They don't have any options but to make it amazing.

I hope, but keep in mind that this is all original story and characters, it has to be well written. They already had a base for the Witcher so they had it sort of easy then. Cyberpunk it's an entire new challenge

The decisions that make it a good or less good game were made years ago.

The guy who wrote all the shit for the cyberpunk table top game is writing it. We'll be fine.
