Ori was mediocre. blandly pretty, boring world. story that didn't say or do anything apart from emotionally manipulate over and over again (the DLC made me literally laugh out loud when yet another fucking parent died). worst of all: a metroidvania without bosses. what was that. those trial and error super meatboy sequences were really bad.
and then Hollow Knight comes out, is awesome in every way that Ori wasn't, and doesn't get half as much recognition/press. oh well, I'll play any metroidvania with decent production values so I'll be playing the Ori sequel too. hope it's better
