chainguns, shotgun, and rocket launcher in duel were god tier

all weapons in doom3 feel great.

i personally have more fun in doom 3 duel than quake live

So, what you mean is that every gun, weapon, vehicle, story etc. should feel like nothing? Every gun should be Half Life 2 pistol and every story should be just Gone Home?

I've always hated this design. The handle is like a fucking revolver grip, but there's a slide on top? And it doesn't move further back than the grip?

its actually a pretty good weapon for headshots and a big step up from OG doom's pistol
in tourney mode you start with 2 grenades as well as the pistol

also in doom 3 promod you start with a shotgun

The bizarre thing about this gun is that it supposedly shares its firing sound with the Deagle from Opposing Force, and I loved that Deagle but I hate D3 pistol.

I love Doom 3 but I hate just about all of the guns.

Just because something is a buzzword doesn't mean it's meaningless or not an appropriate description, it just means it's over used

It's sort of like fun, useful as a way to express your subjective enjoyment of something, but contains no information beyond that which someone with different tastes could use to make up their own minds. That gun feels like a plastic toy.

technically sg starts is just some server admin's choice, not a part of the promod. the duel veterans all agree that pistol starts are ideal

the original five maps actually have excellent visual design. that screenshot is a user map made map, and most user made maps fell flat in the area of aesthetics, probably because doom 3 mapping is fucking hard
