Fuck the memes, the entire Borderlands series is incredible. Some of the most fun co-op gaming I've had with couch co-op excluded. They may be a one hit wonder but that's fine.
And while we're on the topic, although Blood would be incredible to play with modern controls and graphics, I'd much prefer a reboot of the Heretic series, especially Hexen. Part of me has hopes simply because the lore in nu-Doom was called Corrax Entries, which was obviously a reference to Korax.
