>Los Illuminados plotline completely dropped early on >Leon is superfluous to the plot, personality is just swapped out with RE6 Chris, didn't have to appear at all >Rebecca is walking exposition and does almost nothing in the movie >Protagonists straight-out kill civilians without a thought >Villain goes from wanting to marry his dead wife again, to just chaotic evil for no reason >Virus ends up being completely reversible, making it trivial and non-threatening >Ends with a literally-who character surviving as sequel bait >Nothing in the movie has any impact or consequences whatsoever for the larger Resident Evil world
This was so underwhelming. I know the games don't always have the best story, but this was almost as bad as some of the live-action movies.
>>Rebecca is walking exposition and does almost nothing in the movie
Not even action scenes?
Jacob Harris
She was just a plot point even in the original game
Jordan Reyes
Who gives a shit when someone can just post those amazingly cheesy webms
Ethan Hernandez
She defends herself with a fire extinguisher and scissors against some infected. But that's it.
Aiden Stewart
i can't believe this movie based on a game series filled with shitty plots had a shitty plot
Jack Allen
...
Eli Richardson
Solid 7/10, I was just happy to see Chris and Leon together. And the action scenes for fucking GOAT... except for Leon on the motorcycle, the nigga was just flexing at that point, but still.
And Becky Rebecca got on my damn nerves with her wheezing ass.
Better movie than all of the live-action RE movies with the exception of the first, though.
Jayden Myers
Were you expecting something good from a CG Resident Evil movie? Seriously? Your fucking thread pisses me off. You can't be older than 20 years.
Jace Scott
Except they seem to have maxed out weapons with infinite ammo
Julian Nguyen
It's just Leon and Chris fanwank action movie don't take it so seriously
Alexander Lewis
Where can I watch or download this?
Hunter Ramirez
>>Virus ends up being completely reversible, making it trivial and non-threatening
It's been nearly twenty years since the Raccoon incident, somebody had to cook up a cure or vaccine by now.
Samuel Lopez
They reload multiple times mid-combat though. Not only that, but the number of shots actually realistically match up with the magazines they use.
Easton Ramirez
SOLARMOVIE
Logan Martin
>Virus ends up being completely reversible, making it trivial and non-threatening
That was the entire point. It was a controllable bio weapon. You gas some people, they turn into zombies, they wreck shit and kill/turn other people. When you're satisfied that enough carnage has been caused, you pop the cure. No uncontrollable outbreak that just keeps spreading. The bonus being that only people that have both parts of the virus in them turn, and they wont attack those who are marked off limits or friendly.
It was pretty ingenious. The stupid part was that a random spanish guy just happens to have the badguys hideout location and information on the cure on his fucking phone.
Carson Hall
i watched in the theater in mexico
Nathan Edwards
What about wife's arm shit? Did thet They just forget about it? I think Rebecca was going to get pretty fucked, but they decided to change everything.
Nolan Smith
What the fuck was the point of the grenade? He coulda seriously hurt someone/people.
Brayden Perez
who cares nerd, it has cool shit happening, that's all that matters, stay mad
Carter Lee
I have the feeling that I'm almost the only person on this entire Planet who actually liked the ridiculous goofy C movie Action Horror Trash route Resident Evil took since 4, I'm honestly prefer 4, 5 and 6 over 1, 2, 3 and 7 despite I know that these are the objectively better games, I just find the whole dumb Action stuff fits the franchise more. So I'm highly enjoyed this movie too.
Liam Bailey
Remember when Leon killed one dog with a sign? And then he threw a fucking grenade at it! What was the point of the grenade! The dog was dead already!
Ayden Wilson
all while using his foot to control the accelation and handbrake. It was really fun
Ryan Gomez
The dog was still moving, watch closer at slow speed.
Cooper Morgan
The dog wasn't dead even after getting shot in the chest and having a sign dropped on it.
But yeah Leon clearly doesn't care about collateral anymore.
Are you blind or did you just miss the multiple times they reloaded in that fight? I get that they do it quickly but come on dude, use your eyes.
Ian Ward
The opening fight and hallway fight right before this show Chris struggling to reload and being forced to grapple and use the bayonet to clear space and buy time
Gabriel Sullivan
I liked Leon's character actually. He realized that no matter how hard he tries the world keeps plunging into biological danger and that ultimately there's no point in fighting it. It's a petty the movie forgets WHY he is there in the first place. Btw, did that on guy's wife and child ever get saved? They never followed up on that. They should have at least told them that he was dead.
Parker Wright
You could argue that with the news of arias being dead they would understand that aren't leverage anymore, mouth no they don't directly go save them. And by the end Chris convinced Keon that doing what they do is ultimately better than just letting the world go to shit, even if it's just short term fixes
Julian Baker
Leon is the equivalent of the UN council head of disarmament compared to that chick with that godzilla death ray-rifle which leveled like 5 buildings and caused a ton of collateral and deaths in an attempt to kill one BOW
Dominic Taylor
Holy fuck. Yeah, I remember that death ray-rifle. They didn't even fucking kill the dude. You'd think that would've done him in, but in the end what killed him was mostly one grenade launcher and a long fall. Kind of bullshit. But yeah, That rifle probably killed a shit ton of people who were hiding up in those buildings to escape the zombies below.
Ethan Gomez
I'm starting to think the bsaa is the real villain of resident evil
