I played it once long ago and it was actually pretty dope, but that means nothing if the game is a buggy unplayable piece of shit.

A whole fuckload of quality of life changes, like an option to just fucking disable the standing still smash so I stop FUCKING misclicking it. A fuckload of optimization (as in, let the game actually use the graphics card for once).

I had my 8+ sword on my Fiona explode on me after several days of grinding and I dropped the game. This isn't a game, its torture where you pay money to stop the pain.

There was a pretty fuggin huge update 2 weeks ago. Great for newer players, supposedly not so good for higher-end players.

+10->+11 is like 60% chance of success
+13->+14 is 33% chance of success
+15-> and above is less than 20% chance
Failure blows up your weapon that you grinded months for, meaning you have to grind from the start again.
The damage difference between a +10 and +20 weapon is 5000%

When I tried getting into this game it was just 'mash buttons and win'. Didn't understand the excitement at all. I didn't learn anything because I was leveling too fast and succeeding in shit without having to try.

That's it. Shitty anticheat method, garbage as hell gambling method, and other bullshit.

They also changed it so enhanced armor affects combats stats now. They also removed animations for drinking potions, so now you don't even have to worry about dodging. You can just spam potions and face tank everything and with high enhanced gear will do something like 40% damage easily compared to that guy with a +10 weapon trying his hardest to "play skillfully".

The game itself, the combat and interaction with enemies and environment is just fine. It's the KR business model that completely fucked it. Sucks that using objects on enemies is completely nonviable beyond Hoarfrost.

I don't know anything about Vindictus but is it a decent timewaster for very casual play? I might give it a try for the combat and waifus (probably all solo play) but don't want to invest money or delve deep into enhancing where weapon break becomes real, I'm guessing the first few enhancements are 100% success right?

Nexon NA. Though my main gripe with it was that Devcat steadily got worse and worse at really designing anything, shit like the "anti" whale defense buffs to bosses that only harmed non-whales and abandoning set gear on their test servers ended up with dumb shit that they eventually reverted after a year or so. Not sure why you would ever sincerely balance raids around parties that have the literal best gear you can possibly obtain. I had an older AMD card back when I played too so shit like Iset's energy attacks and Siglint's lightning were semi-invisible due to a bug they knew about but never actually tried to fix afaik.

I wanted the pirate set (back when it was the last set) and after a year of raiding I didn't have enough drops to actually craft a single piece but I had ended up with several billion so I could just flat out buy the complete set instead. Found it sort of pointless to keep playing.

It has the problem of many MMOs where it tries to push you into endgame as soon as possible so early levels will be extremely easy and unbalanced.

There's basically no limit, yeah. If you're overgeared you can just tank all the content except maybe Nemhain.

Not really. Lower level content is dead since the game is old and everyone is sitting at end game. If you don't spend time and money to get to end game you're basically playing a garbage single player game.
