You have to lose specific fights on purpose to get the canon endings

>you have to lose specific fights on purpose to get the canon endings
what kind of braindead feature is this? what the fuck were they thinking?

probably something along the lines of "only the worst of asshats won't find the idea amusing"

Yes, VNs are fucking retarded. How is this news to you?

Very funny, user.

It's much better than "choice 1 advances the plot choice 2 is a gag reel"
CT had the best story mode design, it was all downhill from there

I disagree. You end up repeating so much of the same thing with this design. Chrono Phantasma was best as far as design goes.

God no, CT had the worst story mode design. Having to intentionally lose fights or win a certain arbitrary way was dumb as shit. CF was the best in that you just had one long story and side stories along the road that you could choose to watch if you wanted to know about the rest of the cast without losing focus of the main one.

Get gud but not 2 gud

People play story mode in fighters?

Yeesh.

It's a remnant of Guilty Gear times that I enjoy (it adds to the mystique), which had the same shit plus timeout victories or winning with certain time left on the clock. It's a similar mindset. However beyond that the lose every fight to get 100% was quite bullshit. In their defense those dead ends do contain story, which is revealed nowhere else sometimes.

Dumb gag shit is always the most enjoyable part of a VN for me

They know they fucked up. They apologize for it on CSEX.
Too bad the the exclusive story bits on the bad ends will forever be locked on CT.

It's fucking bullshit how the kikes at ASW pulled all the Help me, Kokonoe gags from Youtube. I loved that stuff.

That was in Project Justice.

>You basically have to lose win and loose every fight in the game to get all of the story
Well, I was going to play through the entire series, but now I really don't feel like it.

You don't. You have to do that to get 100%, but most of those are literally just you losing, the villan saying one or two lines of irrelevant dialogue before you die.

Just use this and you'll be fine

Thanks user, I'll probably try to clear off CT during the weekend.

I really don't understand why people care about the story to this series anyway. I could say that about most fighting games, with MK being the exception, but jesus christ people really are into this lore for some reason.

There are people who buy these games just for the story too.

Losing fights, yeah that's dumb, but there were no real arbitrary win conditions that didn't make sense in the story, and they were all just "don't finish with a super" or "don't use supers." If you want fucking arbitrary, try Guilty Gear requiring you to win some fights with a certain amount of time left, or by a time out.

um what the f*ck how am I supposed to play this without fapping

>In their defense those dead ends do contain story, which is revealed nowhere else sometimes.
Like Hakumen's true identity and etc

Real talk time, is it a good idea to buy Chronophantasma still? CF is too much money but I want to get into the series. Squirrel and Celica looked fun to play.

Me in the second to the right.

Absolutely.

I bought the entire pack for 50 euros just to play the story. turns out the story is shit. fighting is fun though

I'm currently on the second game and I'm glad they removed that you had to lose for 100%

pirate CSEX, CPEX, and then buy/pirate CF if you want the story.

If you're getting into gameplay just get CF.

whoops forgot the image

Three clerics and a swordsman, Are they just looking for a meat shield?

This party is even weirder, they look too young

Kajun DLC when?

You barely saw all the characters in CP, an expanded version of CF would be the best

yeah just wait for CF Extend

You could just watch the short version of the story in CSExtend

>Playing fighting games for the story

Most fighting games actually have better stories than RPGs because they build them up for years and many games instead of trying to cram it all into 60 hours.

Didn't this game got retconed by Continuum Shift?

>Set game to ultra easy
>Mash through match
>Drool on self while reading a paragraph of character dialogue
>Skip online play

What, you don't enjoy the 15 hour long animu that's just talking portraits for 99% of the time from Centralfiction?
