Here's why this happens in every game with healers, but it's even more dramatic in Overwatch.

The other members of your team expect the healer to keep them alive. It's not >nice healing!

because you expect them to do so. If you die, it's either your fault or the healers fault. Since everyone thinks they're better than they are, it's easy to blame the healer. In Overwatch it's much more pronounced because of ults like mass Rez and sound barrier. If your healer dies before using their ult, your team loses the fight. If they get a game winning ult and win the fight for your team, they rarely get praise because they're expected to do so.

It's the most important role in the game at high MMR yet it's also the one that is most shit on. You have to be a masochist to play healer with pubbies because you get no credit for wins and almost universally take the blame for losses because one mistake is glaringly obvious.

By the way, get to GM and tell me how easy it is to play healer and stay alive when 3 adderrall riddled Koreans are constantly on your dick.
