i own both a switch and a ps4, both this and zelda.
i hate both games. i wouldn't call zelda bland but it's just repetitive and unfun.
this game is just flat out bland and uninteresting, even if it's pretty to look at.

The combat in fighting / manipulating huge dangerous machines is genuinely fun. It's the best part. The graphics and sound design are great too

not particularly, it's just damage sponges that you roll out of the way of or hack into
it's nothing unique or special other than the fact that they're robot dinosaurs but if you made it any other kind of monster it could be uncharted or tomb raider or something else like that

yes it's not glitchy or broken but it's wholly unremarkable
vanilla would be accurate i guess. it's not done poorly but it's nothing that you cant get from any number of other games, save for the actual monsters being robot dinos.

It's a pretty looking tech demo and not much more, the gameplay and world are shit. It was initially being marketed as an action RPG when in reality it's fucking Nu-Tomb Raider-tier combat in a half-assed Ubishit style open world. Much of the artsyle and designs are good but that's it, the gameplay and world and godawful story and characters are embarrassingly shallow for a game that has been given so much praise from """game journalists""". It starts out boring and bland and becomes even more boring and bland at 16 hours in which is when I dropped it. Criminally overrated game with no substance.

combat isn't the problem with ubisoft games. what more do you want? it's bland, it's run of the mill. go play the tomb raider reboot if you want a taste of the combat, it's basically the same thing. it's not floaty or imprecise or anything it's just bland and boring. the combat isn't flawed in any way other than not being fun.

Because the vast majority of people here are delusional. If a game is not perfect than it's bad. If they can't play the game it's bad. If there's a single thing that they don't like it's bad. It's the exact same for every fucking game on this board.

What did you like the most ?

I really dug a lot of the weapons, and how they made it a good point to hunt machines in a way that was good for collecting scrap, rather than just brainlessly mashing on them for XP.

Also really dig how easy it was to craft a shit ton of arrows right in he middle of a fight just by holding X, the menus are designed really well like that

The game's graphics gameplay and atmosphere is fucking nice, the storyline isn't that great but it's a helluva lot better than the dog shit writing Andromeda had.


There were certain points in the game where I felt like I was playing a sci fi monster hunter and that was awesome.
