Well NBA2k is that, for basketball anyway. EA just flat out stopped making basketball games because they realized they couldn't compete.

As far as the EA Madden/NHL games, if they end up on Switch at all it will be like the 360/PS3 versions once newer consoles came out. Gimped version for maybe one or two years before dropping support completely.
