Platforming looks fun. Asides from that, the aesthetic just screams low budget no matter how much money they put into it. Whoever greenlit the protag should be shot.

I played it with a kid. They liked it more than me, but I thought it was a solid 6/10. Worth a co-op playthrough if you've got someone to play with. 2 looks like it could be a 7/10 or so.

When i look at this game it always looks like complete shit and i don't know why.
Technically there is nothing really wrong with the gameplay but you just KNOW that this is garbage.

I don't understand why they think a sequel to Knack is a good idea. It didn't even hit two million sales on the first one and it was one of the only games for the PS4 at the time. I'd be surprised if this one turns a profit.

It's not like mediocre/forgettable games getting sequels is anything new. Sometimes they even get third games that no one asks for.

You're right, but it fails to implement anything distinctive of SMW, which is the Mario game everyone loves the most. It goes for small-scale technical platforming for the most part, while SMW (as well as 3) both have big open spaces you can run and fly through at a high speed. It felt like a step back from 64, even.
