I care. Have it pre-ordered. This is flying a bit under the radar.
WE
Have it pre-ordered but I'm not expecting much in terms of writing and worldbuilding after D2's garbage everything besides level design and gameplay.
I've still gotta play the second, but having recently finished the first and the DLC, I wanna say this. I'm fucking done with the shitty characters in this game, I don't care about Dowd, the Outsider and Billie, those boring characters and shit story paled in comparison to the visual aesthetic of the game and its level design. I'm actually struggling to remember what happens, but I can remember many of the levels clearly since I played without setting off alarms and not killing anyone. Its understandable that game developers want to shove shit youre familiar with into your face for marketing purposes, but really, do any of you who genuinely enjoyed these games and want more of the same kind of gameplay really want to know what happens with the characters??
Man it really feels like the second one just came out
>muh manorities
I don't mind her being black as much as i mind her being this ugly.
Why exactly do we want to kill the outsider again?
He's never remotely antagonistic or even villainous.
Hell he's the only reason she's got her fancy fucking void limbs instead of being a cripple. He could've just let the player in 2 see Stilton as a crazy fuck then told them what he says at the end of the mission anyway.
I'll nab the eventual GotY
Finished the first one last week and it was surprisingly dissapointed
He's a white male shitlord, that's why.
I would if the main character wasn't a fucking bubba-lipped nigger
The funny thing is, he gives powers to people he finds interesting. Not necessarily villainous, but interesting. He fucked up when he gave powers to Delilah for being a manipulative shrew and Daud for being a famous mass murderer, true, but the funny thing is, they were already doing fine without the Outsider's Mark.
Daud was a feared mass murderer for 14 years before he even met the Outsider. And Daud dares blame the deaths he caused on the Outsider, saying that he was "encouraged from the shadows" even though he used to shank niggas with knives before he got the Outsider's Mark.
This about covers it. I expect good gameplay and more shit plot.
Do we know if its the same levels?
Not really. I liked Corvo as a character in Dishonored 1 (and the DLCs) but he got boring in the second one. The Outsider is interesting and has some interesting dialogue. Overall, I like more the whole lore of the thing and the world building and the aesthetics and gameplay than I do about actual characters. I certainly don't give one damn one way or another about Billie Lurk and I think the idea of killing The Outsider is kind of silly.
It did come out less than a year ago. This is a stand alone expansion, not a full sequel.
WUZ
It did?
Why does that matter?
Because he gives powers to people for shits and giggles and dozens of thousands suffer from his antics.
IMPERATORS
STALE MEMES
How come?
KANGZ
yeah can't wait to chimp out
youtube.com
They suffer from the antics of people abusing said powers. He didn't force them to do shit, and is actually more impressed when people don't go and fuck shit up with his powers.
>Missing out on good gameplay because of a fictional character's race.
>do any of you who genuinely enjoyed these games and want more of the same kind of gameplay really want to know what happens with the characters??
I'm more interested in the world and lore than the characters, so I'm disappointed that Arkane decided to focus on the characters.
Dishonored 2 has almost no new lore, it's really lame.
But the gameplay's still good so I'll stick with it.
Can we play as Daud or
N'
>they were already doing fine without the Outsider's Mark
I mean, Daud was already a contract killer, but there's no way Delilah would have done even a 1/100th of the damage if The Outsider didn't mark her.
this
if women and blacks just can't STAND playing as whyt peepo then i don't see why i have to play as monkeys
The trailer did show some familiar looking environments. Maybe there will be a re-worked level in there, like the DLC for the first game.
Yeah. Was released on November 2016. Been only 9 months.
She also wouldn't have done 1/100th of the damage if Daud had just fucking stabbed her.
She would've have done literally no damage at all if the Emperor hadn't been a jackass and kicked her out.
Jessamine could've tried to find out what happened to her and make amends.
There's a fuckton of other people you could blame too, blaming the outsider for "enabling" her is fucking dumb.
You're not wrong, but The Outsider still gives around big powers to people that can end up abusing them. It happened with Daud and Delilah and it might happen again if he's not stopped. That's why they're killing him.
No. Billie is the playable character. Daud is in this as the supporting guy.
I find it very oppressive, that I have to play as a black character.
>She also wouldn't have done 1/100th of the damage if Daud had just fucking stabbed her.
True
>There's a fuckton of other people you could blame too, blaming the outsider for "enabling" her is fucking dumb.
But other than Delilah, The Outsider is the most culpable person for it.
I want to know how long it is. Not buying full price without an estimate of 10h.
It's not even full price.
It's 30 bucks.
For a DLC $30 is a lot.
So I expect at least 5 levels. Specially considering how small Dishonored 1 DLCs were separately.
>there are actually people who didn't save stilton
>there are people who didn't even think to try
why does she look like a monkey
>He doesn't take a slow ass time to play through Dishonored exploring the environments, listening to banter and going through it once Low Chaos and once High Chaos
If you do, 10 hours are guaranteed
I saved him by accident but think it was kind of silly the way you did it. Really? You just need to knock him out and that's it? They don't think of looking for him anywhere? For people that planned this big Seance for months, they sure were careless.
I would if you weren't shilling this hard since the whole month.
I want to know what happens to Emily and Daud. Emily because I want to know how suffering a coup (and probably having the Outsider's mark) changes her as a person and Empress. Daud because he's an awesome character that I feel would benefit from a definitive ending. I like Corvo but his story is done. Billie is... Eh. I like her a lot less now that I realised that she killed the Duke's brother. Outsider is also eh. I like him as a concept for the universe but he's not really a character I'm fond of. I'd have liked him to stick around though.
>Anyone else care?
If it didn't feature one of the most boring characters in the entire franchise.
She was a Daud fangirl that betrayed Daud in 1.
She drove the boat in 2.
Now you play as her? Oh joy, I always wanted to do that!
He wasn't really supposed to be at the Seance anyway, he clearly didn't but into the occultist shit they were into and was just going with it in hopes of influencing the duke.
It's obviously a Sup Forumsshit baiting out WE posts
I'm bored and I like discussing Dishonored on Sup Forums. I don't give a shit about Divinity: Original Sin 2 or Sonic Mania or what the latest E-celeb drama is.
It's unlikely the outsider is actually going to die in canon, he's practically the poster child for the series after all.
That is a really ugly character. Why can't anyone be attractive anymore.
I miss the old days.
She starred in some comics where she got a bionic arm and time traveled
So DotO is probably taking place after all that
mite b cool
>negro on the cover
no thanks
I thought Daud had a pretty conclusive ending in the DLC, but I guess I don't mind him sticking around for a bit longer. This stuff about killing The Outsider is kind of lame, though. It makes sense for his character, but it feels like something that shouldn't be achievable.
> Anyone else care?
gaming bloggers, because its another opportunity to make a few bucks
Nope because i can already see how it'll go
>black chick gets oppressed by a white god
>goes on a quest to kill him
>kills him and becomes the new god
i don't think i can stand watching some black chick btfo a literal god
Yeah, but Daud is the one accompanying you.
Bad news, bub.
If they still have any sense actually doing it should just result in something much worse taking his place
They wanted to make the most repulsive cover ever?
You can't even tell that she's a girl.
Do they know that good looking black women exist?
its nice to have a little expansion type thing but i want a real god damn sequel and not a fucking insulting retelling of the first game that's called dishonored """2"""" fuck what a disappointment
I was hoping it'd take place before it so we could get an explanation on where she got all this cyborg time traveling shit.
Why even bother commenting when you clearly don't know anything about Dishonored
She got it from the time traveling shenanigans in 2. It's not cybernetics, it's voidstone shit.
It's still some donutsteel shit though goddamn.
I hope not.
>Daud becomes the new Outsider
She killed the Duke's brother too. She's basically a mini-Daud but without a charm and a big scooping of disloyalty. I'd have honestly preferred to play as a witch under Delilah, or even an Overseer.
Yeah I'm the same. Dishonored is one of the few games that reeled me in with the lore.
Daud's story got fleshed out in the DLC, but 2 made it clear that he's still out there somewhere. I was honestly expecting a cameo appearance but one more DLC to wrap it up works fine too.
>Do they know that good looking black women exist?
Of course they do. This is who's voicing Billie Lurk.
If it makes you feel better, this is considered the conclusion to Corvo and Emily's "saga". So if we ever get a Dishonored 3, it will probably be 95% brand new characters.
>She got it from the time traveling shenanigans in 2
What time traveling shenanigans? I mean, Corvo/Emily time traveled in that level, but not Lurk.
>I'd have honestly preferred to play as a witch under Delilah
This would have been pretty sweet
>or even an Overseer
Gotta save that for Dishonored 3!
I dread to think what a modern sequel to this would be like with the current SJW progressive pandering atmosphere.
screencap this post faggot, billie the niggy will kill the outsider and free the world from his oppression
You really have not played Dishonored even a little bit.
The Outsider is not an oppressive god.
Literally all he does is give magic powers to "interesting" people.
You are late the plot was kinda leaked with the trophee.
She looks like a mixed race man though. This, is a black woman.
Not completely. We don't know if anyone is gonna replace The Outsider.
Most black people in the first world are mix to some degree.
Very very very few of them are 100% African.
Yeah but billie will see all the "destruction" he has caused and go on an honorable campaign to kill him
So what happens? Was i right?
That right arm is bothering the fuck out of me.
She has more flattering pictures but I'm too lazy, just search 'diamond jackson'.
So, Dishonored 2, do I actually need 4 runs to get the full experience? I did one high and one low chaos in the first game, but do I need to do that for both Corvo and Emily?
...
>Yeah but
But it shoots a hole through your entire proposition, and now you're just moving the goalpost to something vague enough that it's impossible to be wrong
Nope. Just one for High Chaos and one for Low Chaos with a different character. Emily Low, Corvo High . I don't think there's enough different to warrant playing all four times. Playing as different characters is cool though since you get thinking about the environments in terms of other powers.
Yeah but she originally was crippled trying to break in to help Stilton. Since that now never happened because shenanigans she now has donutsteel powers.
If it sounds stupid it's because it is. I'm just telling you the in-universe excuse for it.
>VOMIT
>It's a shorter, but standalone game
Takes place in Karnaca and "an as-of-yet undisclosed location"
Billie and Daud are teaming up to kill the Outsider
It takes place a few months after Dishonored 2
Billie is the playable character
Her eye is the "Sliver of the Eye" or "Eye of the Dead God" (both names have been given), and it's a piece of the previous outsider's eye
Her sword is the twin blade used to sacrifice the Outsider, detailed in the tie-in novel The Corroded Man. She can "construct and deconstruct" it
Her arm is made of pieces of the void. It's not clear but the hand appears to be her own hand, ripped from another timeline?
She is displaced in time, with an ability that allows her to place a marker and then jump back to it later
She can get information from rats via an amulet she got from Deidre. This power is called Rat Whispers
She draws power from the void, is unmarked
She has a sword-related power called Void Strike
She has a power called Semblance, where she can take out an enemy and assume their appearance
She has access to magnetic grenades that eat people
She has another power called Foresight
"Billie will infiltrate underground fight clubs and square off against the Sisters of the Oracular Order, the immortal [rock monsters ] Envisioned and the Outsider-obsessed Eyeless gang."
The prototype clockwork soldiers from the D2 trailer will appear
Jindosh is dead
Stilton was not knocked out in the past
OG+ Mode is a NG+ with select powers from D2 also available
Billie will infiltrate a fight club
The game features a heist level where you get the sword
Niggers can't be pretty unless they are mixed. They need aryan features just with brown or black skin to be considered pretty. Same applies to every fictional race. If they have aryan features then they are pretty, if not they are ugly.
If they wanted true female nigger, she had to be ugly, there was no other way.
OOGA BOOGA KILL OUTSIDER NAM SAYIN' DIS BAD GUY WHITE SUPREMACIST PLAGUE N SHEIT UNLEASH DEM ELDRITCH HORRORS NAM SAYIN
I did the full 4 runs and you're probably good with just one high and one low. Corvo and Emily basically say the same stuff in the same situations 80% of the time. 20% of the times, there are some small line divergences based on the object you interact with, but the meaning of the stuff is the same.
I'm still thinking about doing a fifth playthrough, though. No Powers Emily sounds fun.
>Stilton was not knocked out in the past
But that's fucking stupid, neither emily or corvo are dumb enough to pass up that golden fucking opportunity to fix so much shit at once.
Jindosh had it coming though, fuck that guy.
I did flesh & steel, ghost and merciless low chaos Corvo, powers low chaos emily and powers high chaos emily first week during release and i dont think ive missed anything and i didnt bother with the game since
>Her eye is the "Sliver of the Eye" or "Eye of the Dead God" (both names have been given), and it's a piece of the previous outsider's eye
>Her sword is the twin blade used to sacrifice the Outsider
>She is displaced in time
>She draws power from the void, is unmarked
So what you're saying is that they turned her into a total mary sue
If it's taken you this long to notice that then I'm worried about you user.
Christ, I hope they come up with something better than that. If that's really all the explanation they're giving, then that's really shit, even by Dishonored standards.
