I got a question, I haven't bought a ds since the first one was released, i want to buy another one but I'm not sure if I should get the 2ds xl or the new 3ds xl, could someone give me the pros or cons of them?

I never use 3D on my 3DS. I would have definitely gotten a 2DS XL if it was released by the time I purchased my 3DS. Unless you're jerking yourself off to the 3D aspect just get a 2DS.

If you care about 3D get the 3DS. If you don't get the 2DS.

2DS XL and 3DS are functionally identical. Get the 2DS if you want to save $50 and don't care about 3D.

I know someone else saying this is redundant, but the 3D thing is exactly useless. It hurts your eyes and doesn't add anything.

Fwiw the sound is much better on the 3ds too.

3D is kinda a shit even with the latest 3DS improvements, just get a 2DS XL. 3D doesn't work very well, strains eyes, can make the game blurry, and in some cases tank the framerate.

Try the 3D on a store model. If you have certain visual impairments, it won't work, but ignore what everyone else said about it being useless. It has an autobrightener for the screen and slightly sharpens it even on minimum if you want to.

The sound sucks either way. Just use headphones.

I disagree, I just upgraded to a new 3DS XL from a regular 3DS XL and the 3D is so much better. I haven't turned it off ever since I got the new.

It's something that mobile addicted wristlets do because they can't grip the 3DS properly.

I do have the appropriate size screwdriver, the plastic is just thin.

I have the right screwdriver, that doesn't fucking mean I want to pull it out, unscrew the plate, and screw it back on whenever I want to use the SD card.

Yeah, I didn't say anything about the game's actual quality. Bought it on release and just started playing a week ago and it's excellent, I love it. I was a little bitter that it failed considering how high quality it is.

i do this. usually slip into it without realizing it. gives me a better grip and seems more comfortable. definitely down there when one-handing it while using the stylus with the other.

Mine is cracked. I did lots of hax without using an FTP server and now around both screwholes I have pretty significant hacks, Now that I think about it, I think I tightened them too hard, but I wasn't sure how shit the screws were.
Usually screws will start giving less and less when they're in appropriately, and they get very hard when you shouldn't be screwing anymore.
There is none of that on my 3DS at least.
There are 2 states, "Keep screwing" and "Oh shit too tight". Thinking back I should've unscrewed it a little bit from "Oh shit too tight".

Also my backplate doesn't click properly on the sides anymore. One of the sides is kindof "loose", like I can feel it wobble during use.

Huge downsides to, in my opinion, the best handheld Nintendo has ever made. Might buy a replacement chassis for it in the future. One that's made slightly better.

i just bought a n3DS would the 4 GB sd card that comes with the system is enough? How big are the downloadable game files? Is there even an advantage to buy digital over physical like discounts?

I can grip it with my palm. I don't need my fingers to also support it.

If you can get a new 2ds xl for less than $130(there have already been pretty good sales) then go for that. If they're almost the same price then you can go for the 3ds xl.

MH4U is like 3Gigs. I would consider 16 to be the min and 32gig if you hack it.
