I mean, I'm decent. I can get a 5-6 chain max (which is good against someone who barely knows the controls) but compared to the 10+ chains I see online it's nothing

Is there any way to play puyo on pc reliably? Like are there any official pc releases that hold up as well as puyo puyo tetris?

Speaking of that, I played endless puyo for 45 minutes and it didn't seem like I would die any time soon, so I just killed myself.
I can see why vs. is the default play style for Puyo Puyo now. While it gets really easy to fuck up in Tetris when it speeds up, it's almost impossible to die in Puyo Puyo without someone throwing garbage at you.

I wish the main menu puyo puyo mode didnt assign you random characters. It seems inconsistent, and most of the time im against the fucking insanely difficult AI.

Same here, like I know for sonic fangames they'll look the other way because they'd never hear the end of it if they did try to take them down. But when it comes to their other IPs (that one Streets of Rage fangame comes to mind), the lawyers come a runnin' for your ass.

I think for sonic its fine because they already have pc releases of the games, so nobody cares if a small portion moves over to play that for like 10 minutes.
But for puyo, since that fangame is the only way to play an updated version of puyo on pc, it doesnt make sense why they'd allow it and risk losing people who want to buy ppt

I don't know if it's likely or not, but perhaps Sega is aware of Puyo's niche western following (if I'm not mistaken Puyo VS was created and is maintained by western fans) and don't want to risk pissing off what would basically be their entire target audience by trying to take down Puyo VS.
