Is this game worth it? Never played the 1st but heard this is a grind fest and gets repetitive quick.
I'm a big dragonball fan but I'm not sure if I'll like it.

Get it on pc or anything other than the switch
This is the power of portable gaming, friend.
Jesus...
It looks fine using dock mode, looks like the 360 version. The hub is fucking awful but once you actually do combat the visuals look like how's it's suppose to be on a 720p handheld.
It's ridiculous since the pc version just sold for 19$ a couple of days ago.
How's the gameplay? I'll just pirate it on PC if it's too repetitive to pay full switch price.
Dumbed down Tenkaichi 3 if you ever played that.
Wew. Alright imma say fuck it and skip the whole thing.
Sup Forums: Keeping people from playing video games since 2003.
OP it's pretty okay despite what these fags say. It doesn't look incredible in handheld mode but there's an an option to switch to high graphics if you don't care about your battery life.
I guess technically the Tenkaichi 3 comparison is apt but it doesn't feel dumbed down as much as streamlined, the difference being it's more like they cut out the bullshit, not "the casuals won't get this so we'll just do buttonmashing here!"
Also making your mary sue self insert to be friends with goku and piccolo and raditz and broly is fun as fuck.
You'll like it, as long as you already have pokken tournament, which you'll feel buyer's remorse for if you buy this over that.
I'd stick with the Budokai Tenkaichi and Raging Blast games if you're looking for a good DBZ fighter
see, now I'm torn. I love pokemon, but I don't know if I'll like Pokken.
The self-insert xenoverse 2 and customization sounds fun, but I truly don't know how long it'll last me.
Maybe I'll just rent both and decide which to keep.
On second thought, I think I'll go Xenoverse over Pokken. I'm not that hardcore a fighting game fan.
Get Xenoverse if your fandom is strong in db.
Pollen is legit worse than arms
I loved ARMS, I think it'll be my definitive fighting game on switch.
I'll get Xenoverse to weeb out to and Pokken later down the road when it's cheaper.
Its only worth it to watch your OC Donut smack people with lazers n shit.
There's nearly nothing else really worthwhile in the game. The combat is bananas, special fights against apes and stuff are kind of weird even when they're not bugging the fuck out.
If you just want DBZ its fine enough. If you want something that's actually more than mediocre, then you could pass. I put in probably 40 hours or something.
good bananas or bad bananas?
Get it IF AND ONLY IF you haven't played XV1.
Seriously, this sequel came way too early.
>dumb down tenkaichi
Wut
Tenkaichi is way more simple than XV.
XV at least has more unique moves and more complicated combos.
Bad bananas. The comparison to Tenkaichi is okay as a baseline, nothing to write home about and then on top of that baseline are some odd mechanics that lead to things like increasing your Stamina being a (potentially very lethal) double edged sword instead of an improvement. Also it's not balanced in the slightest but you should already expect it from this kind of game.
Not so bad you'll hate it, but mediocre enough that eventually you'll start wishing the combat wasn't so shallow.
Doesn't this have the story from 1 included?
Only on Switch and only as DLC.
>DLC
Some reviews say you can unlock it after certain points in the story.
No, it's literally free DLC you need to download because it wouldn't fit on the Switch's laughable cartridge together with the entirety of the game.
You do need to progress in the story a bit before you can play said DLC so that part is correct.
also you dont get all the dlc
To be fair, this game looked weird. Like PS2 or GC stuff but running at a higher res.
Also if anyone is wondering, don't buy this game without watching gameplay and understanding how repetitive it can be; even for an almost mmo. Way better than the first but still pretty niche. And combat leaves a lot to be desired.
Pretty fun if you're a DB die hard for a little while. Realistically not enough replay value to make every character though
I have no fucking clue if I want this game.
Is there any DB super stuff besides Whis and Beerus? I feel like they shouldve waited for 2 until the universe survival arc was over
Didn't play 1 so might get this.
yes there is super content we had super content in xenoverse one
It's great for fanservice if you're a fan of the series
No. The switch has framedrops like crazy undocked when you break someones stamina. Docked mode has it to, but not as bad.
