Hey anons what do you think of infamous second son? It was for free in PS4 and I just 100% it, I thought the movement system was fun but I wanna see what all of you think

it was fun

Downloaded it but still haven't touched it

6/10

played it until i got to seattle and then deleted it. troy baker as the MC immediately put me off, but the MC himself was just so unlikeable that i couldnt continue. the gameplay was nothing special, and after having just beat GR2 i was in no mood for a shittier superhero game. i continued playing just cause 3 instead, at least that game didnt take itself seriously

i beat infamous 1, but played 2 for about an hour and got sick of it. its just not that fun of a series

Eh.

I got it bundled with my PS4. It was OK, I guess. I finished it, but I barely remember anything about it.
It was pretty, the powers was pretty, I remember the used Heart Shaped Box, and I liked it. I also liked the thing MC and his brother cop had. Wish he was more of a character.

>just cause 3
have fun with your awful fps and clunky mechanics and massive downgrade from the previous game
gonna try this game now because you obviously have some shit taste

I hate that it exists. They should have continued off inFAMOUS 2's bad end. The good end was retarded and basically leaves the world open to getting fucked again in the future.

I enjoyed it, wish it had a bit more development time and the map was a bit bigger or at least more interesting.

Infamous 2 was more satisfying though.

this

and i beat infamous 1 and 2

It was fun for a while.
Too short, not enough to do.
I did both endings for the other 2, but not for this one. I just didn't care about the MC enough to do it.

Never played the first one and just started playing this because it's free.

It's really mediocre. I guess the gameplay is okay, but after two or three quests in Seattl I'm already burned out on the typical "open world" meme shit with pointless objectives scattered over an otherwise uninteresting map.
The MC is really annoying and the karma system is beyond retarded too: press a for good karma, b for bad karma, the outcome is the same though!

Glad I didn't spend money on this.

I liked it. The gameplay was fun if not somewhat simple or repetitive, even though there are four power versions, they all play pretty much the same. The story was meh, the characters could have been better. But all in all, it's a solid 6-7/10, not bad at all, but nothing extraordinary either, it being free was perfect.

The gameplay was, without irony, really good. The powers could have done with a bit more fleshing (smoke and concrete in particular), but overall the traversal and combat abilities were great. But it's way, way, way, way too fucking short. Someone in another thread called it a tech demo, and that's a really apt description for it. And the evil campaign is retarded with only two specific missions and the story remaining exactly the same until the very end; Reggie telling you he's proud of you when you've murdered every cop you've seen is just dumb. Open world is underutilised and whoever designed the side-quests needs to be shot, you could have had power-specific races around the city, but instead you play Guess Who and locate cameras and other dumb shit. And the entire Paper Trail thing is the single most retarded experience I have ever went through for a fucking video game.

tl;dr squandered potential the game the movie the experience

I got to Seattle and started doing typical open world stuff and I got bored pretty quick. The traversal stuff is neat, but overrall it didn't really engage me.

The bossfights are all pure dogshit. The hacker dragon and the final in particular.
The forced smoke sections too can kiss my ass.
You get neon so early, why the hell would you ever upgrade smoke?

This sums it all up, plus constant unstoppable cutscenes.

It's fucking terrible.

The bit near the end made me mad because of smoke, when you're climbing the big tower.
Your friends are all overpowered as hell and wrecking shit, and you're stuck there doing pew-pew shitty chip damage to basic enemies.

Maybe they wanted to make the only ability copier in history that wasn't overpowered.

Neon and TV powers were pretty cool, smoke was ok, but Concrete was kind of garbage.

It's alright. Not bad by any means but not amazing either.

Never actually gave Concrete a try cause after beating the boss I just restarted immediately for the other Karma run. Just had no actual drive to mess around cause the world seemed rather boring.

It's a step down from the original Infamous in terms of story, how morality has little impact on the story/world and just how delsin interacts with the world. Felt like cole was more close with people rather then just in a few cutscenes and phonecalls. but the abilities are top notch. My favourite remains smoke. Its just too damn cool to use its and it's just so natural to me while Video is great for rooftop travel and Neon for those precise shooting.

Character wise, Delsin was fine but he's not cole, I wanna see Eugene get laid (how can a girl not fall for an angel/demon bro) and fetch needs a shower, at the car wash turbo scrub. Reggie is a good older bro. Hank and Augustine felt so under utilized and especially the stuff for Augustine being held for the very end of the game felt really lame. I would've like to there to have been a hidden, true final boss and some mission space inbetween Augustine and said boss so that concrete can be used more rather than simply be a thing you have for endgame collecting. Maybe a proper visit to Curdun Kay. Hell, just seeing hints of the r the plant, wire and Glass conduit powers while you're there would've been sick and also show the player and Delisn the full extent of what's going down there instead of simply given exposition of accounts from the other characters that describe the place.

Hell; my biggest bother was the idea that Augustine was doing all these experiments and the allusions to them being tasked with a "mission" remained completely unexplained Aside from them simply being made apart of the DUP. Why do this if Augustine said she simply wanted to keep them imprisoned and not getting killed by the military and vigilantes. Was this like a condition she had to follow set by the government? How come there's never any real mention or presence of said military, there was cops that shoot drug deals occasionally but no military? The enemy variety in infamous was pretty stacked compared to this game.
