Pillars of Eternity thread! What are your wishes for PoE2, Sup Forums?

>tfw no priest of abydon

>What are your wishes for PoE2
Not as many trash mobs. Fun and cozy exploration. Ability to fuck Eothas' shit up.

Cool Monk abilities. I want even crazier stuff than what we got in the first game and White March.

Fuckable Pallegina

>TFW no priest of Hylea
Objectively the best god

David Warner voicing Eothas and the ability to side with him

Fully voiced dialogue and well animated 3d cut scenes with a strong focus on story and character driven narrative without sacrificing any of the branching story and world reactivity. You said wishes.

Are they going to fix the combat? That's what kept me for PoE.

Absolutely disgusting

I'm playing PoE right now and I'm curious, is it possible to complete every companion's quest in one playthrough? So far I like everyone I've met, I don't want to ditch anyone at Caed Nua.

I hope they change her portrait for PoE2, it's much worse than the last one imo

Yes, it is.

More interesting weapons and no save bloat bug on launch this time around.

The combat is fine, the story was just dogshit, your party was level capped halfway through the game and the lacked a compelling narrative. It was literally BG1 and if you're not extremely into the whole "let's roam the world, kill shit, loot shit and explore shit so we can find more shit to kill and loot" thing the game really had nothing to offer.

Is this true for the expansion as well?

I just want better combat. and better world building.
I'm used to crpg combat, but man, PoEs don't make me want to play it.

I dropped the game one week after release and never touched it again.

What a faggot.

Fully voiced dialogue is too much. Impossible to keep the quality for it.

Stop spreading fake news. Pallegina obviously has a normal vagina. She's human aside from her hair.

I'm just looking forward to the second one. Both divinity and pillar games so far have kept me occupied .

You can but I always drop the priest.

>Dropping Durance, the best companion
Why?

>Durance
>Best
Nope

*Blocks your path*

Relationships are confirmed for PoE 2 but I don't know if they go that far. I hope they do though, kinda like they did in Baldur's Gate 2.

:^)

To not suck ass like the first one? It would be a great start I think...

Good for Larian. I don't like their games, but I'm always glad to see isometric RPGs doing well. Hopefully, Deadfire will be very successful too.

You don't have to take sides on video games, user.

>Best companion
Durance

>Biggest bro
Edér

>Best quest
Zahua

Prove me wrong

What a meme companion.

All great games.

One is new the other one isn't why do you like shitposting.

This

That's why i said it was a wish. My dream game would basically be a vampire themed RPG with Uncharted-tier cut scene quality, character creator, witcher 3 sized open world, every door can be opened, every NPC can be talked to and custom animated dialogue scenes for every interaction that is more important than "show me your wares".

SEETHING

>David Warner as Eothas
Nigga, you what? Why would you waste arguably the greatest villain voice actor alive (now that Tony Jay is dead) on the God of Light and Renewal? Hell, Thaos wouldn't have sucked so bad had he been voiced by Warner.

>isometric

>trying out cipher since people say it's powerful
>didn't really see the power, just been using Amplified Wave - sometimes get a 100 crit hit
>decide to try out the aoe moves
>mfw critting each enemy for around 70 damage - don't even have amplified wave yet which is the most powerful cipher aoe
>mfw over 3k damage added to my statistic in around 4-5 trash mob battles
I can't wait until I get amplified wave. More damage AND proning.

I was so disappointed by Thaos' boss fight. I would've at least expected him to be as powerful as the archmages or even the dragons in the game. I killed him in literally less than a minute and only had to use the pause that's given at the beginning of an encounter. Really should have made him more powerful, mayb given him more health more defence and higher offence. He seemed more powerful in the cutscenes than he did in the fight.

I hope more future CRPG devs take inspiration from Larian rather than focusing solely on the whole "It'll be like those like CRPGs you liked in the 90s!" Larian's writing and style really doesn't jive with me, but the environment interactivity and combat abilities of Original Sin are really cool

>just been using amplified wave
I meant thrust. So many moves begin with amplified.

>just been using amplified wave- sometimes get a 100 crit hit
>don't even have amplified wave yet
>can't wait until i get amplified wave

wot

...

Posted too late reeeeee

I tried PoE and it was boring desu. Felt like I had to force myself to play through it.

>doesn't realize that Zahua had far and away the highest damage output of any Companion by a huge margin
Gimped yourself, fampai

He was uninteresting imo. Didn't bring anything that I didn't already have.

Yeah, even on PotD he's really underwhelming. I send my party to go fight the statues and the Watcher to solo duel him in the middle to make it more climatic.

I want more lances and spears. Shame you had to be a wizard to use the best and coolest looking lance in the game, Citzal's lance, Which is Aloth's weapon in pic related. Wizards are cool anyway so it isn't too bad to be one.

She has inner eyelid like birds do so I'm not so sure

Best class for THE ULTIMATE achievement?

>statistically strongest companion
>unarguably the best storyline
>kept off the roster for some useless fag like Pallgenia or Sagani
I wish I could take back that time our parents let us sleep over and we touched dicks, bro

>gods dont real
>eothas wrecks your shit
????????

Had this game in my library since it was on the monthly bundle. Started the character creator once, but thought the races and customization was incredibly generic. Am I wrong?

Chanter. Can heal yourself, can summon shit to help you, can use debuffs and buffs. Has decent offense and defense. Easily the easiest class to do any kind of solo playthrough with.

Usually people have the easiest times with Fighter or Paladin, more so Paladin because of the immunities you can get.

She's a petty cunt like the lot of them.

The gods are real, they just aren't gods.

we are not starting this shit again m8

That is such a bro looking team. I like it.

Paladin, far and away. It's entirely possible to stack your Defenses so high that literally nothing in the game, Dragon, Archmage or otherwise can touch you.

>statisticically strongest companion
don't care, my team was already overpowered. Like I said, he didn't bring anything to the table that I didn't already have.
>unarguably best storyline
that actually is arguable
>kept off the roster for some useless fag like Pallgenia or Sagani
I never used pallgenia, I did her quest and kept her on the sideline. I dropped Sagani the moment I got the Grieving Mother as she complemented the team better.

I'll touch dicks with you anyway though.

The only unique spots really are subraces, Godlike and Orlan. And even the subraces aren't that unique. Wood Elf, Snow Elf. Mountain Dwarf, Snow Dwarf. Regular Human, Nigger Human.

>Control the aspect they are ascribed to (Galawin controls animals, Hylea controls the sky and fertility, Berath disease, etc)
>Can grant boons and blessings
>Have followers and cults
>they don't count as gods because lol arbitrary distinction
?

I have a hard time not picking Hylea. Remember that mom at Defiance Bay with the hollowborn daughter who sends you looking for her son and drunk husband? Turns out the son had been stabbed and dumped in the bay after trying to help some people. So that poor woman is left alone with her soulless daughter and her grief. The thought that one day she and every parent like her who tirelessly cared for these vegetables are rewarded to their children waking up chokes me up a little.

That only happens if you promise her that you'll return the souls and then do something else with them. Actually keep your promises and bad shit like that doesn't happen.

Arcane Knight (Paladin+Wizard) will probably be really cool from a roleplay perspective. Fucking paladin with citzal's lance? Hell yeah. I might actually do that.

>dropped the game because thaos keep rekt my party

Gonna buy white March and finish the game

The base game was pretty good, but the White March was really excellent.

Most of those children will come into broken homes with runaway, half-mad or dead parents. I think it's better to pick Galawain and let those people face their trauma, to move on and found new families.

So what? Still shows she is a cruel bitch who will blindly wreak death and destruction on innocents over a slight.

I mean she warned you that she would do it when you accepted the boon. It's not blind at all. She made you a deal and you broke it, consequences came from it. You're as much at fault for it as she is considering that you were warned and had full knowledge of what would happen if you went back on your word.

Maybe you shouldn't have made a promise you were going to break anyways. None of the gods do anything bad if you don't promise nothing to them

The player can be evil, so it's okay for Hylea to be evil? This doesn't change the fact that she's as cruel as the rest of the gods, with no real consideration for the well-being of mortals.

Gods do not like to be betrayed by mortals, no matter how benevolent they are 'supposed to be'. This is mythology 101

You reap what you sow m8.

>hundreds of parents tend to their souless children day after day praying to the silent gods for some relief, some miracle
>Watcher has a chance to reward them for years of their blind hope, knowing they had no reason to suspect that their faith would ever be rewarded
>"lolno, bet some of those parents suck anyhow. better cannibalize the souls of the unborn babies!"
you twisted fucking desert horse

SHIT ADVERTISING THREAD
OP KILL YOURSELF SHILL RAT

...

I choked looking at that picture.

>Hollow are unable to do even the most basic function by themselves
>Their bodies are probably permanently crippled as a result
>lets shove a soul into it!
The best choice is to use the souls to strenghten the inhabitants of the dyrwood.

What class has the coolest abilities and is the most fun?

Depends on what you like really. I think Monk has the coolest and most fun abilities in the game. I feel like a bad ass who crush anything with my bare hands.

Druid or monk IMO

You do reward them, with inner strength to persevere and face their challanges. If you want to talk about twisted, how about shoving the soul of a baby into the wasted away body of a twelve-year old in an orphanage.

>best option is to continue to steal the souls from their rightful owners
>'lol fuck the babies waiting for their souls and fuck the parents taking care of them'
>then chops the souls up and forcibly cannibalize them to existing souls to make them stronger
>'that's right mommy, eat baby's soul!'
Galawain's option is even edgier than Rymrgands

Yeah, what a cruel fate to awaken in a weak body in a world of magic.

My wish is for more reactivity based off your class and God/Order. Also anybody have any information on the Steel Garrote and Woedica Priest? I am 100% sure I remember Josh saying those two classes will be available if you took her ending.

HAHAHAHhahahahHAHAH

What's a good old turn based RPG I should play?

What did you all do with Thaos' soul? I sent him back to the wheel with his memories intact. As a Priestess of Eothas my character believes in redemption and second chances. Maybe Thaos will go on a better path this time.

Plus all his soul toys are kind of useless now so it's not like he can restart his plan.

...

Both are good games.

>89 over 71 critics vs 94 over 16 critics
>8.3 over 2262 reviews vs 8.9 over 406 reviews

LMAO The funny thing is you posted this to shill for Divinity.

I bound him to the soul prison. Fucker had it coming. I laughed when Durance said I was going too easy on him.

Entropy'd the fuck outta him

>Comparing scores from Divinity Normie Sin 2 and Pillars of Eternity.
But more seriously both are good games. Fans of this genre will likely buy both. Stop trying to incite a war.

>What are your wishes for PoE2
fewer trash mobs
better companions
no shitty base management

What stops him from doing it again? The Engwithian machinery is still there and he still knows how to use it.

>Eothasian Paladin: Removed his memory to give him peace and sent him back for a fresh start
>Priest of Magran: Tore his soul apart and obliterated him
>Aumaua Pirate: didn't give a shit, let him be reborn, *I* won't be alive by the time he's old enough to start shit again

What portrait are you all using?

I wish for turn based combat

Sawyer said what you did with his soul with have a significant affect in Deadfire. I'm hoping sending him back to the wheel memories intact will have him help you in some way.
