Mass Effect trilogy

Thoughts?

My thought is you should stop making this exact same thread three times a day.

2>1>3

Why are people so fiercely divided over ME2?

First was a decent space opera with janky controls that I liked despite the flaws. Second game was a miserable pile of shit, but I guess it was a better cover shooter, even though cover shooters are awful. Third had better gameplay and actually had some fun adventure elements outside the awful main plot with its shitty mcguffin and abysmal ending.

...

Loved ME1, thought the gameplay needed a lot of help. ME2 solved a lot of it and was probably the hypest I've been for a game but was starting to show signs of fuck up.

Then the embarrassing turd that was DA2 happened. It was so bad I had insane doubts and lowered as fuck expectation of ME3, it was THAT bad.

ME3 was pretty much exactly what I expected and I'm no less disappointed.

Worst of all its hard to replay 1 and 2 knowing how bad it shits the bed. It's probably the worst thing to come out of all of this.

Because at least half of the fanbase was introduced to it with 2. They're Bioware's version of Fallout 3 babbies.

Nah, I was late to the party, got the trilogy and just played through them all. Still liked 2 the most.

Tone shift, gameplay shift, narrative shift. It was a spinoff masquerading as a sequel.
