Don't have an Xbone but yeah I love my PS4 + Switch combo. I'm sure the Xbone is fine if it's your platform of choice but it doesn't really have games that appeal to me.

I have a ps4, currently playing through KH1.5&2.5 but besides that, PC only.

you have to accept that most people don't care about 60fps and prefer the convenience and lower cost of having a locked down ecosystem where every game will work as the developer intended. That said, you could be playing the wrong games. I can't remember the last PS4 game I played that didn't run at 60fps.

More console games now than ever run at 60fps, unless you're counting 8 and 16 bit consoles in there. How many console games on the n64 and PSX ran at 60fps? Stop being intellectually dishonest. It's been over 10 years since the Wii and people are still lumping the Wii and Wii U a generation behind because of muh power, you'd think they would know what "Generation" means by now.
Another peeve of mine is when people still use 'next-gen' when talking about this gen, but that's another story

Yeah, I don't like talking doom and gloom about the industry, but Microsoft feels like they're going to turn xbox into a pc service and the hardware will just straight up run windows,
sony feels like they're 1 step in the grave most of the time and with the gaikai streaming service they've invested in, it feels like they want to turn playstation into a game-streaming service.
Nintendo is different, but they're so focused on the Japanese market for hardware, I don't know if I see them going back to a traditional home console.

I really do like consoles, but I think there's a real possibility that they may not be around for many more generations.
