Open worlds are simply too large for their own good so they end up populated with recycled content. What we need are DENSER worlds, not bigger.

I dont recall that being an issue with witcher 3. What does denser mean if you're moving on a horse and you get to watch nice enviroments while questing?

Not the same guy, but Witcher 3 wasn't designed as an open world game. It had an approximation of open world, but it wasn't the point of the game like it is in Elder Scrolls, for example. In fact open world was more of a detriment to Witcher 3 than anything.

Witcher 3 is the only one I've enjoyed in a long time. It seems to be padded with pretty good sidequests and lots of them. None of that "radiant" bullshit bethesda has either.

Like I always say people are hyped over nothing because we don't even know anything about Cyberpunk 2077, the roleplaying game CDPR's RPG will be based on. They're even being cagey being cagey about roles which leads me to believe it won't be a straight up class choices, but something like history, specialization, etc.

I never played bethesda open worlds that much, I didnt like them being so free and prefer AC/w3/shadow of mordor type of games.
Which then is annoying someone hates ALL open world games even tho they're extremely different from each other.

Hundred percent agree. It's funny because Gothic 1 and 2 got the ratio just right so many years ago. Out of more modern examples Witcher 3 was the step in a right direction, but one that was still plagued by POIs which simply existed to push you out into the world. Deus Ex: Mankind Divided is also a good example of dense and concentrated world design because it had a much smaller area to work with.
