Mind you, when I ask if there's anything like f-zero, i'm not just asking for a futuristic racer like wipeout or Fast Racing Neo.
Specifically, something that focuses on: -Really fast speeds -Really tight, fast controls, allowing you to traverse fast turns and corners without slowing down. -Difficulty, making you master the game -Lots of other racers in the tracks -Crazy track designs
Anything that matches all, or at least some of that criteria?
rollcage 1 and 2 star wars episode 1 racer probably a ton of newer and actually modern games as well, search on steam or a search engine like google

youtube.com/watch?v=5g0rfeZ5qcM Redout fits 3/5. Tracks don't generally have a boatload of other racers, and the controls are pretty floaty.
It works for what it is, though. Every track is designed such that, if you run it right, you never need to slow down on a corner.
Dylan Cooper
This comes close. I actually just found it before making this thread, but the turnoff is the floaty controls, as you mentioned. The design seems to be focused on less wide tracks, and straight courses for picking up speed, rather than crazy curves.
I might give it a try, but I'm trying to find something a little crazier
Andrew Nguyen
You'd actually be surprised to find that it's pretty hard to find a racer with the same feel of F-zero GX. Futuristic racers often take different design philosophy, giving everything a different feel.
Angel Walker
It's definitely worth a shot, IMO, but it definitely doesn't feel like F-Zero. I don't know of anything recent that has the kind of tight, grippy handling you're looking for.

Rollcage has a spiritual successor in development, it's available on steam in early access right now, and it's almost feature complete so I'd say it will release sometime early next year. youtube.com/watch?v=__7xFLQt3fo

I found this, but it never met its kickstarter goal ): it seems to come closer
>Nintendo will never remake X with all the expansion kit content, additional cups, and 30-person online
Nathan Diaz
BallisticNG Ballistics Redout Formula Fusion (it's shit though)
Henry Reed
That's a damn shame.
Zachary Perry
>Miyamoto said he won't bring back the series because they can't add anything new to it >won't remake it with modern features either
Angel Hall
>they can't add anything new to it THEN JUST MAKE IT THE SAME OLD MECHANICS WITH A FUCKTON OF NEW RACERS AND TRACKS YOU IDIOT I HOPE YOU DIE MIYAMOTO YOU FUCKING HACK
Noah Wilson
>every F-zero fan's reaction
Tyler Davis
Stay well clear of formula fusion, that game is the worst indie garbage racer I have ever had the disgust of playing.
Chase Miller
Nigga I backed and pre-ordered that shit.
Robert Morris
trackmania maybe

No there's nothing as bad Maybe cluster truck

This user's got it. TM is like F-Zero GX's Save Jody mission on Very Hard, but ALL THE TIME. You thought you were doing so good and then some faggot kid from Britbongland beats your time by .01 seconds and there isn't enough time left in the round to do another run.
Justin Martin
How so? The gameplay looks pretty relaxed in comparison
