More comfortable
If you get enough of them you can live in a literal Sup Forums circlejerk
larger fov
the sides of the screen are closer

literally a gimmick
>People literally paid extra for warping artifacts
Can you even imagine being that fucking retarded?
More reflections on the screen. It's bad. I bought one for $1,500.
that's not how that works, but ok..
None, its just a gimmick to market to fools
>He paid for warping artifacts
>its just a gimmick
So are color, stereo, and HD, doesn't invalidate the fact they're objective improvements.
no. a slightly curved screen is no where on the same level as those things, get the fuck outta here.
>color, stereo, and HD are gimmicks, therefore they are objectively not gimmicks
Buyer's remorse is one hell of a drug.
And what kind of objective improvements do curved screens provide?
that is some threat level midnight mental gymnastics.
Curved screens minimize trapezoidal distortion which is a major problem for flat screens. The end result is you have a much more natural and comfortable viewing experience.
It doesn't take as long to look from one side of the screen to the other.
Also easier to put in corner of room
Here you go user, the curved tv you asked for. Happy birthday!
>minimize trapezoidal distortion
That's like what Samsung calls their "Quantum dot" TV bullshit. Curved anything is just a gimmick just like 3D.
So.. buy a smaller screen xD
>not a trinitron tube
GODDAMN IT MOM YOU'RE STUPID AND NEVER GET ANYTHING RIGHT
Pretty sweat. Can I plug my SNES classic for more of an authentic feel?
Memes. My roommate has one and I've yet to see the reason for it. It doesnt improve jackshit.
>Curved screens minimize trapezoidal distortion
wtf are you smoking
At least research the topic before shitposting user, you're just embarrassing yourself at this point.

immersion, but only if you are very close to the screen
>trapezoidal distortion
Is there a more pretentious term than this? It basically means "looking at thing from an angle" and it happens in fucking real life too.
Pic related, trapezoidaly distorted mural IRL. We matrix now.
The human eye can't see things that close in the periphery. You need a non-curved monitor so the stuff in your peripheral vision is at an appropriately further distance.
>and it happens in fucking real life too.
Ok, but it doesn't have to happen in virtual life, just because reality is flawed doesn't mean not reality doesnt have to be.
I don't see trapezoidal distortion when i drive my car because of it's curved screen and it protects me every day, same thing goes with the curved tvs
Did you read it? Seems like a fancy word for photography and projectors. Curved monitors however is a meme and we will see them die off in 2 years.
you're not making a lick of sense
>tfw we will never experience real life in superior orthographic view
>we are stuck with shitty erratic nauseating perspective view forever
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH SAVE US, CURVED TV!!!!
>I don't see trapezoidal distortion when i drive my car because of it's curved screen and it protects me every day, same thing goes with the curved tvs
nigger are you fucking daft?
This really distorts my trapezoids.
quantum dots aren't bullshit though
before I dropped out of uni and NEET'd it the fuck up I met one of the guys who invented him
his name along carried enough weight to save the school like 1m on expensive lab equipment

Ok they have left to right curvature but wouldn't it be supposedly better if they also had a subtle vertical curvature? This reminds me of people who defend inverted joystic controls but they keep the x axis at default.
Curved displays are pointless except when you have a 60+inch display.
Enjoy a full FOV most likely. So if that's your thing go for it.
its like my waifus on the screen are reaching for a hug ^-^
