Will 2017 be remembered as one of the greats for video games?

Inb4 autistics come in and lust 50 petty reasons to hate these games

Enjoy this thread OP

No because half of those are garbage autismo

And Persona 5 & Metroid: Samus Returns.
Or should Persona count as a 2016 game?
Either way, 2017 is just amazing

Still not released.
>Half life episode 3.

>Will 2017 be remembered as one of the greats for video games?

you seem to have mistaken 2017 for 3017 user

What the hell was good about Prey?

>meme graphics

>Reddit soundtrack

I think a better question is why was 2016 so shit?

We have now ascended to ironic shitposting

Yup. Eighth gen is finally getting decent.

>He says while posting "borefest i bought for the porn: the game"

Just in time to move to the ninth gen in a year or two and fuck everything up again

I find it surprising how few people know Hob released as well.
Yes, this has been an amazing year for vidya.

Best year for games in the last decade.

How was Hob? All I know about it is that it's made by the Torchlight team

A touch easy and there was a really bad memory leak at launch, but that got fixed. Either way, it was very satisfying to explore and just get lost in the world. At almost every turn, you genuinely feel like you're progressing, be it as simple as finding a bit more map or as major as finding an upgrade that lets you interact with something new in the world that you previously couldn't. And it does it all without words, which I fucking love.

I really like this post
