I am genuinely curious how people can clock in THOUSANDS of hours in a game. Could someone please explain it to me? Are these people just underage or NEETs or what?

I put 500 hours into Elite Dangerous. I was determined to get the "end game" ships, hoping that my experience would get better with them. It did not, so I left a do not recommend review.

i have a half dozen games with a few hundred hours each
if i was limited to one game due to money constraints, or i REALLY liked one game, I could easily see it hitting the multiple thousands.

Hell, I bet I sunk close to a thousand hours into starcraft/brood war when i was younger

I made this image a while ago and I feel like it would be relevant here as well since you screencapped reviews for an early access title.

>meet a girl
>date for a few months
>get married
>married for a years
>come back home one day
>find her getting rammed by tyrone and his crew
>ask for a divorce
>hurr durr y u leaving me, we've been together for thousands of hours

that's how retarded you sound like right now

>i spent 15 minutes making this picture and only got to use it once so i'm just going to stick it anywhere it's remotely related

the worst part is i have no fucking clue what it's trying to say.

I wish I could remember what my time played in SWG and WoW were. I don't think I ever hit thousands of hours though.

>people who can't read
the image might be of negative reviews but OP's question had nothing to do with whether the person is happy or not with their thousands of hours

>leaving your wife because she cheats on you once

that's pretty fucking stupid

This is bait.

literal cuck or bait

I don't know how to dumb it down any further for you. If you can't read that chart I'm surprised you could even read my post.

What the fuck do the colors mean?

Aww, did I stwike a newve? Was it cwoser to firty minuwtes?

When you find something you really enjoy, why play anything else? From 2004 - 2010 I really only played Halo 2/3 and WoW. Touched a little bit of CoD and GoW, but Halo and WoW were so enjoyable that I never really had the desire or felt the need to play anything else.

I'm guessing the game changes to the point it no longer represents what you originally ally purchased. That imagine is pretty dumb at conveying that point.

1. Everyone makes mistakes. You don't cast someone off because they fuck up one time.
2. If someone is cheating in a relationship, there's usually some underlying problems that need to be addressed. You should discuss those problems and try to reach a mutually beneficial resolution.
3. Divorce is expensive and time consuming. It will cost you a lot of money, plus it's bad for your children. It's easier to try to work things out.

>What you fucking bought

No. The only thing you bought was the product in the state it was when you bought it. Anyone who says otherwise is a retard.

A lack of aspirations that lead to long term happiness, healthy social interactions, or development of skills. So much can be done in the 1000 hours dregs spend shooting virtual people in counter-strike or anything of the sort.

No x axis, the color doesn't represent anything, and the first one is obviously supposed to be "what you thought you were getting", not "what you bought", because "what you bought" and "what you got" are the same fucking thing

I'm going to come and smash up your whole fucking house
and when you get mad about it i'm going to blame you for not addressing the underlying issue of you being a colossal fucking retard

Why does it always come back to your gf/wife having an affair with black guys on Sup Forums

>Everyone makes mistakes.
>OOPS! I accidentally got drunk off my ass and fucked Chad! Won't happen again, sweety!
See how fucking retarded this sounds?

>There's usually some underlying problem that needs to be addressed
Yes, but the problem doesn't lie in the relationship. It lies in the slut wife who has no sense of morality.

>Divorce is expensive and time consuming.
Which is why you don't marry sluts in the first place.

yeah totally a problem specific to this board and not an internet wide meme or anything

Not him, but the nonstop blacked shit has gotten to me. I can't cum to anything other than interracial porn

It doesn't make any sense to me either.

Is it supposed to say, like, you bought it when it was fairly unfinished, expected it to become really good, but then it didn't turn out to become quite what you thought it was going to be? But only by a little bit...? I mean is it supposed to be in favor of or arguing against early access titles?

You're image is shit at making its point bro.

Awful, awful internet memes and actual NTR/cuckfags that think they're welcome here. Also combined with Moot not IP banning these faggots calling him cuck, which resulted in that becoming the favorite insult of the 2014(?) newfags, which eventually spread everywhere else.

It can happen over years OP.

I put 2000+ hours into football manager when I was getting my masters degree because I'd play in the background and run matches while reading articles or writing papers.

Multiplayer titles that keep you engaged for a long time over a span of years. I've got 1000+ hours on fighting games and MMOs and I'm not even a neet.

Every thread on Sup Forums that makes it over 100 posts descends into one of the following:
>cuck shit
>trap shit
>furry shit
>waifu shit
>Sup Forums shit
>or general console war faggotry

>no indication of what the x or y axis means
>no indication of what the color scheme means

You made a pretty shit "graph" user

>chart

you don't even know what you've made

don't you niggers know how to read and shit?

A game that's constantly changing or receiving updates, especially games like MMOs can go from being good one day to being bad the next after a shitty update. You're not necessarily giving it a negative review for the whole experience, but rather the game in it's current state. It's happened to plenty of games.

I've never played a game that long either, besides maybe WoW but that is since it's launch and usually after a expansion, which is basically a new game.
Even my favorite game I never end up putting more then 200 - 400 hours into.

Most games are just not interesting for 2,000 hours.

>Most games are just not interesting for 2,000 hours.

MOBAs if you are a NEET and want to just climb the ladder.

It makes sense if it's online and you're playing with friends. Hell I spent well over 500 hours playing top rifts in d3 before getting bored but it was only because I liked the people I was playing with

NEET poorfags

i clocked 2k hours on DotA
around 500 on MGSV

Maybe it's games with shitloads of content or vibrant modding communities that you can play for a long time without experiencing everything.
t. has 400 hours in new vegas.
And multiplayer game are understandable too, if you play stuff regularly with your mates you tend to clock in loads of hours even if you're just playing one or two hours a day.
t. 800 hours in mobashit

MOBAs are for angry manchildren.

>REEEE MUH TEEMMATES SUCK REEEEEEEEEEEEE
Sounds like a lot of fucking fun.

>not breaking your wife's jaw and knocking out her teeth because she cheated once

that's pretty fucking stupid

wow what a novel and well rehearsed opinion you have there
such new content is a rare sight
blessed be thy name
