companies like ea and other huge AAA publishers aren't about making the best video game anymore. their focus is on profit and it does make sense because when their investing hundreds of millions into a product, its too easy to just look at a game as a product marketed at consumers for profit, not a work of art. their leaders are businessmen, not gamers, and their developers are college grads there to get a salary who are put to work on a game that wasnt their idea.

the best games now are from indie and small devs who likely are gamers themselves creating a game they want to play and are willing to take the risk to create something that might fail in the mass consumer market.

Imagine being a poo in loo fleeing to a country taking all their benefits and then install yourself as a victim of their machinations.
