>first quest is "kill the rats"
First quest is "kill the rats"
>Mfw rats kill me
>final quest is "kill the rats"
>In new game plus it's revealed that the Rats are actually the good guys
>MFW fuck the rats
Fucking try it man-thing
>TFW the rat fucks you
>every quest is "kill the rats"
>small rats are bossed around by a giant rat
>go too deep
>get stomped by slightly bigger rats
>you are the rats
>giant rats are bossed around by small rats
what game does THIS
Shittiest faction.
> First quest is 'Survive'
ELEX is shit so it doesn't count
>giant rat that makes all of the rules
Dark Souls II
I, somehow, really like the Royal Rat Vanguard fight.
Vermintide
I’m what most would call a DaSII “apologist” but I strongly disliked both ratto fights.
I think just the sheer number of bosses in the game causes division, some gems though.
>first quest is to hunt some goblins
Where am i supposed to hit it
>rats that like to see what kind of trouble they can get into
>tfw a fucking rat kills
>first quest is "don't get fucked by the rats"
You don't
Thought this was a Final Fantasy xii thread...
>first quest is "kill the rats"
>character goes "haha isn't this a dumb cliche that you start by killing rats lol"
>same thing is mechanically repeated with every imaginable fantasy cliche
Just because you make fun of and add a "quirky twist" to every cliched tolkien trope doesn't mean you get away with making your setting consist entirely of said tropes. Wow, mages are persecuted, elves live in ghettos, paladins are uptight assholes, so fresh and daring.
Fuck you bioware
Someone explain to me why the rats in DS2 are so fucking strong?????
>mfw have pet rats
I like elsa
I really miss RPG's like the elder scrolls not having first quests like these in the companion / Warrior guild questline.
Now everything has to be that great challenge that somehow fades away from your memory as other "epic" challenges are handed to you.,
...
Dragon Age is actually exactly what I had in mind when I started the thread, since I just started Origins (7 hours in). I like it so far, but yeah, it's like they tried to make the most generic setting imaginable and had a checklist of every fantasy cliche in existence.
