What the FUCK went wrong?

What the FUCK went wrong?

Aliens in an otherwise Victorian setting

They should have made another dlc where another post-Byrgenwerth faction tries to shoot hunters into Cosmos with a giant cannon.

Not on PC.

PAC-MAN was the final boss for literally no reason

despite a few flaws that any game has, nothing

never ever

Long loading times (initially)
Almost every item is called blood-something
Chalice Dungeons where a mistake and should have been incorporated into the main game
Last area feels rushed and is pretty dull compared to the rest
Lack of build variety

HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA

Not on PC x2

chalice dungeons
thats it
the game is nearly perfect

>Lack of build variety
Explain

Plain Doll isn't real and will never hug you.

>bloodfags actually believe this

No shields
I mean I know there is a shield but it is practically useless.
The concept is cool but the game is less flexible in its approach to gameplay favoring high risk high reward only wereas other souls games were way more flexible.
Still fun and all but the game forcing you to rush makes for a less immersive experience. Plus the parry mechanics are very overpowered and broken. such a waste of atmosphere.

But that's just me, I just love my sword and board knights in souls games.

Nothing.

That green-text doesn't even fit what he said.

>lack of /fa/ variety
>story dungeons
>having to farm gems to deal good damage in pvp
>missing action between fractions (only thing there is is vileblood vs executioners and the rare occurance of HoH)
>missed fractions like Mensis, Choir, Tomb Explorers
>No Kos' Placenta
>Bloodvials are either too forgiving for gud people or annoying for shitters because they have to farm
>no fire tools
>Bell system sucks compared to soap stone
>non-optional bossfights after Shadows except for Gehrman (Rom, TOR, Micolash, Wetnurse, MP) suck
is what I can think of now

You mean the aliens that were hinted at from the very beginning of the game? Hell, once you reach the grand cathedral you can be snatched up by a lesser amygdala. That's early as fuck, when the game's still in the evening state.
Also, before the game even begins, the opening cinematic implies that there's far more going on than meets the eye.

Just got the game. What are Chalice Dungeons?

Optional content in the form of small dungeons you can go through. Story-wise they expand a bit upon the backstory of certain things.

No shields and convoluted game mechanics

I see, what's bad about them?

no shields was the best part of this game (there are shields)
now what was convoluted?

>Chalice Dungeons where a mistake and should have been incorporated into the main game
hell no. they are perfect for when you come back after a long break. they enable easy coop with friends and the great opportunity to repeatedly kill bosses.
>Lack of build variety
I'd say it's harder to finalize a build, because good gems are required, but there are lots of possible builds besides the obvious ones
like going pure ARC using the flamethrower, QS runes and oil+firebombs.
or BLT/ARC, using bowblade in bow form for dmg and tools like beast roar for cc

I know I could come up with more builds in DaS, but imo the gameplay limits us to do the cool shit that is possilbe in bloodborne

TL;DR lack of variety.

There's one legit complaint about chalice dungeons, and that complaint is that they lack in terms of variety. In terms of enemies and locations they can get a little bit samey after a while. That stems from there being only three actual styles of chalice dungeon.

>now what was convoluted?

>Where da fug do i go
>where are the survivors i can help
>my feet hurt
>who should i help
>i miss Solaire
>i need a whosits/whatchamacallit to go here?
>how the hell do i upgrade my weapons and armor?

Basically you're saying that you're retarded

>no ingame model viewer and doll bikini DLC
>no doll dating sim

My god i can't wait for her statue

This.

His inclusion of "My feet hurt" lead me to believe he's referencing the format of the meme with that one guy at a party standing in a corner and wanting to go home. This would only make sense if he were actually a third user making fun of the other one you were arguing with.

But that's just a game theory.

BB > DS1 > DeS > DS3 > DS2

that being said, BB's 'lack of build variety' is fairly valid. it's not that there aren't a lot of builds, it's that most of them don't come into their own into mid-late game, or require farming for gems in the chalice dungeons (which are the lowest point of the game by far)

i think that if From was to make another game, they should experiment with more different themes. the high fantasy setting of the Souls games was feeling very fatigued by 3. i wouldn't mind a BB2 but another different setting would be a lot more interesting

Why is this funny? Not him but Its one of if not my favorite game and id absolutely love to play it on hardware that can actually handle it

Maybe his feet actually did hurt.

It's "Funny" Because that user unironically bought into the console war meme

Maybe the real hurt feet were the friends we made along the way.

Hmm let's see
>Below 30 FPS
>Linear
>No weapon variety
>Armour means shit
>No fashion
>No replayability
Just off the top of my head

Introduction could have been better handled, it assumes you have played other souls games.

Other than that i would have liked the sheer victorian gothic horror segment of the game i.e. central yharnam and old yhanarm to have been slightly longer. Just one more small area and a boss.

Also the chalice dungeons could have been greatly improved with just 5 more designed rooms thrown into the randomization.

Just like every other sony exclusive games: Big on Hype but it doesnt last long.

You can't respec, that's literally it.

No PC version at 60fps
It's one of the best games ever made though

we got nioh instead of this!

Was meant to be for this guy

Too many optional areas. Also wasting unique enemies and bosses on optional chalice shit.

NOOOOOO DELETE THIS IT'S THE ONLY GAME I HAVE! WE WON THANKS TO THIS!

>>Below 30 FPS
True
>>Linear
True
>>No weapon variety
False, the vast majority of weapons essentially count for two due to each form handling vastly differently. There are some exceptions, but those are outnumbered by the others.
>>Armour means shit
False, it's always been possible in bloodborne to stack the fuck out of resistances with the exception of physical.
>>No fashion
Subjective.
>>No replayability
Subjective.

Damn pc bois sure are salts AF. brooo xhcill my man. you fgort ahhhhh... leaguei orrrrr something???? hmm well guess that's sorta hm nort that great

>chalice dungeons are bad
The story ones are lame but FRC Roots redeem every ounce of that, especially when cooping with friends. They are the definitive hardmode content at its peak execution of all the series, NG cycles dont even compare. And they add heaps of replayability as well, I still find some odd layouts or bullshit enemy compositions.

Last four bosses are complete pushovers since vitality breaks FROM-games

>lack of /fa/ variety
>story dungeons
>having to farm gems to deal good damage in pvp
>missing action between fractions (only thing there is is vileblood vs executioners and the rare occurance of HoH)

>no fire tools
>non-optional bossfights after Shadows except for Gehrman (Rom, TOR, Micolash, Wetnurse, MP) suck
agreed with all of these
>Bell system sucks compared to soap stone
if the sinister bell maiden didn't spawn by ringing the sinister bell or waiting for a summon to appear then spawn in a fixed location then it would be fine. the summon and invader can appear anywhere within the level instead of being at the sign or at a random, inconvenient location
>non-optional bossfights after Shadows except for Gehrman (Rom, TOR, Micolash, Wetnurse, MP) suck

Silky smooth 15 fps. Still, one of my favorite games of all time.

Sub 30fps at 720p.

The obvious plus however of the bell system is that it spawns you where you fucking stand, unlike souls where you can get spawned miles from the host as a personal fuck you, or in regards to some areas it even spawns you where you cant possibly reach the host unless he progresses through the level or backtracks, like Shulva in DaS2 or some other areas in 3. The only time the game will pick a pre-determined spawn location for you is when you SRRC and invade as either red or violet adversary.

That's why it's good brainlet.

Problem was the samey visuals and predictable pacing. And lack of character customisation.

>the vast majority of weapons essentially count for two due to each form handling vastly differently.
Bu the flexibility isn't there. Can't wield them in different hands, can't separate them and use the halves you want, so while the individual weapons might look neat and do cool, gimmicky stuff, they're more limiting from a character-building standpoint as you simply have fewer options to choose from and less flexibility with the options you do have. The character building is just really poor in general compared to the other games.

shitty false flag of a pc nigger

>Lack of /fa/ variety
The 40 armor sets in BB literally look better than anything from the 3 DaS games and DeS. DaS3 was a step down from BB in terms of armor

>Bloodeborne didn't even get a port, yet
>STILL shitpost about PC
OBSESSED

Fuck all this shit. Posting Dolls.

Shhhhhhhhh doll is sleeping guys

No PS4 Pro support. It's fucking absurd.

...

> all 40 armor sets of BB look better than anything from any of the souls games
Sit the fuck down dude.

...

Not on the Switch. It would be perfect for it.

>Below 30 FPS
Give you that. Loading times were also abysmal at the start
>>Linear
Interesting world and aesthetic made up for linearity where Das2 and Das3 failed
>>No weapon variety
Literally the best weapons in any Souls-esque game. I'll take 20 or 30 trick weapons over 20 swords and axes with the same shitty weapon art any day of the week
>>Armour means shit
When has armor really ever been anything more than whatever looked cool in these games? So many people just wear nothing or the bear minimum scraps for quick rolling.
>>No fashion
Literally the most fashionable of all the souls games
>>No replayability
If you didn't like the game, I guess. The gameplay was so much better than any of the previous titles and that alone warranted multiple plays.

Wrong pic. Don't tell.

great gaem but the fucking unstable framerate gave me headaches

...

...

Dollposting is an honorable tradition

armor/weight system is lazy and framerate is too low
but its still probably the best game i have ever played

...

He's right though. Nothing in the other games looks as slick and detailed as this. Little bullets and pocket watches dangling around as you move, embroidered patterns on the cloth. BB armor is a level above.

Indeed it is user

>Interesting world and aesthetic made up for linearity where Das2 and Das3 failed
>Completely unrelated thing makes up for it being linear!
I'm not trying to trivialize your points here, but come on, this is just excuse-making. It does not make up for it being linear, the world and aesthetic aren't as interesting after the first time. DaS2 wasn't very linear and DaS3's linearity is is biggest flaw.

>When has armor really ever been anything more than whatever looked cool in these games?
In Demon's Souls, Dark Souls, and Dark Souls 2.

>If you didn't like the game, I guess
Again, stop with the bullshit excuse-making. Not the same person, and I liked the game, it was great, but it is lacking in replay value in large part due to its linearity and lack of comparable depth in character-building relative to the other games. I think DaS3 suffers from many of the same problems as well.

is that Shino Aburame?

...

My dream fanart is Doll and 2B swapping outfits

...

...

>Bu the flexibility isn't there.
Define "flexibility".
>Can't wield them in different hands
That is only applicable to DaS2, and having 2 weapons in 2 hands still does not grant you the same depth and variety of movesets as BB, where you have 2 weapons in one hand + an offhand.
>can't separate them and use the halves you want
Although I personally dislike those kind of builds since I think tricking is an invaluable part of the game, you can. Blunt Kirk/LHB, thrust Church Pick, korean BLT-gemmed Bloodletter/Cuck-a-gay, all-arc HMS, builds like that exist and they trade the flexibility of having two movesets that can be dynamically changed between each other for damage.
>and do cool, gimmicky stuff, they're more limiting from a character-building standpoint as you simply have fewer options to choose from and less flexibility with the options you do have
BB does not really do "gimmicky" stuff, all moves in the weapons moveset usually have their applicatinos. Transformation L1 attacks are really important because they have high damage multiplyers and often great rally potential and poisebreak to boot, so switching between both modes mid-combat is important for optimal damage output on many weapons. Besides, BB puts more emphasis on using R2/L2 attacks since there are more enemies that are staggered by such attacks yet unphased by R1s, compared to souls where quite often the enemy is either perfectly stunlockable by regular R1s or wont flinch even under an R2. Great deal of weapons force you into a particular style of play with their own flowcharts of attacks, sure the comboes are basic as fuck but its definitely heaps more complex than anything I experienced in souls.

>Literally the best weapons in any Souls-esque game.
>HURR quality>quantity!
But the other games have both? Your DURR all da same movesets XD allows for actual customization.

The trick weapons are just that, tricks. They look cool but in practice function no differently than simply having two different weapons equipped. I can equip a short sword and a greatsword in any of the other games, but oh, look at that, they aren't mashed together, I can use them in either hand, I can even them at the same time if I want to, and I can swap them out for literally anything I fucking want.

That would be fantastic

>people keep bitching about the framerate when BB literally runs better than any other Souls game on console
Sup Forums is full of posers who started with the PC ports these days, all the framerate complains had me expecting something on the same level as DeS or DaS1's frame rate issues

...

>But the other games have both?

It's ps4 only

Silky smooth 24 fps on a garbage console with pay2online

It's just too streamlined, for lack of a better term. Instead of giving me a big pool of weapons and letting me use and combine what I want in the ways in which I want, I get a small pool of pre-made pairs I can't change or un-pair, or even decide in which hand I use them. Like why couldn't I just ditch the gun and dual-wield, or even power stance, saw cleavers? Or use two guns? The additional combo attacks could be implemented just fine without the need for mashing weapons together, I don't feel like that and the transforming gimmick are mutually inclusive. I liked the combat, but the character-building and weapon choices were just very lacking and disappointing.

People love bitching cause people are bitches user

Literally only performance.
Wish the chalice dungeons were part of the main map, too, but that's just me.

...

I preferred the way the souls games are more linear with a new fresh area after every boss.
I started to get a bit bored with the setting even though it was really cool still.
I killed all bosses i came across first time, including the cleric beast with the starting weapon but eventually i got fed up with running around not knowing where to go. I think i got bored around where that gunner is that shoots at you if you stay exposed

Should i persevere Sup Forums?

...

It ended.
PvP is kinda dead now

What I love the most is that you can track the evolution of the hunter's uniform throughout the different eras of workshop through the details in the clothing; Gehrman's hunters wore the "iconic" Hunter set which valued the wearer's discretion and dignity when hunting beasts, so the outfits were low visibility yet embroidered and cut like Victorian finery. However the hunters in Ludwig's era were mass recruited from the populace after the scourge had spiraled out of control, no point in discretion anymore, so the Yharnam Hunter set is all mass produced leather and utilitarian.
