>tier set bonuses removed, essentially making them the same as any other armor
>tier looks based on raid instead of class theme again
What?
>tier set bonuses removed, essentially making them the same as any other armor
>tier looks based on raid instead of class theme again
What?
I guess they are going to fold tier bonuses into the heart of azeroth perk thing.
As long as they don't switch too FF XIV style where there's a set for each armor type/archetype instead of class.
>tier looks based on raid instead of class theme again
Terrible idea. Tier sets looked like shit whenever they did this.
>first BfA raid is a troll raid
Yay, an entire tier of this...
Tier bonuses have been fucking awful the past 4 expansions. It was great back in Vanilla/BC because not every class was overloaded with ability bloat.
Troll sets look amazing.
On Trolls.
>they are still making comically large pauldrons after all these year
fucking kek they never learn
>the orc and human at the bottom
Neat.
Doesn't matter what shoulders, they'll also be resized to be huge on an orc.
Shoulders are small on undead for instance.
This is the reason they decided to make classic servers, it allows them to take more risks with the new expansions and make drastical changes because if it goes terribly wrong, there is always a vanilla version to go back to
nah they will look dumb regardless what race they are on
Except vanilla servers won't be ready until BfA is almost over. They'll probably release it during the last raid tier wait for the expansion after it.
That’s exactly what tier no longer based on class means. They’ll have one tier for each armour class, sort of like they already do in Dungeons.
You can always Transmog it.
They didn't say they were removing class tiers, only that looks would be based on the raid again instead of class fanatsy like in Legion.
I've never really enjoyed set bonuses to be honest.
Those abilities should just be baseline, along with leggo bonuses. If gear just has stats then that's fine. Levels the playing field and pushes the importance of individual skill instead.
“We're currently not planning on carrying forward traditional raid class sets," says Hazzikostas. "So we're going to have artwise, the gear will be more heavily themed from the place it comes.”
Sounds to me like that isn’t the case. More like there’s 4 sets of gear.
Because a class tier where the art is based on the raid isn’t a new idea. Look at ICC, mages looked like the vampires, Warlocks had necromancy gear, even Paladins had skulls. Look at Firelands, everyone was on fire. Almost every tier set in Pandaria was Chinese inspired.
It’s impressive how They never fail to make the game even more shitty with each passing year.
Yeah but look at Trial of Valor. One raid themed set per armor type.
They better not pull this shit, the backlash would be insane. Collecting transmog is half of the endgame, if they go down from 12 visually unique sets per raid to only 4 out of sheer lazyness...
Fucking hell. Vanilla can’t come soon enough.
>Blizzard can't balance tier sets with titanforge existing
>Their solution is to remove tier sets
What.
That's ok
>I love tier sets deciding the way i play the class and not wanting to use the tier from the next raid because the bonus is garbage!
Sure, but if raid gear offers no tier bonus and no cool transmogs, then what's the point of raid gear? Might as well just run Mythic+ to get better gear and be done with it.
The problem isn't tier set bonus being removed, the problem is them possibly removing unqiue raid class sets altogether in favor of generic raid-based sets shared by all classes.
Is there any point to doing WoD and Legion quests if we missed those expansions?
Like are the quests by themselves worth doing?
And do either expansions offer anything specifically worthwhile? I know about the profession vanity items and perks, but how about in terms of transmog and gear? Keep in mind I'm the type of player that enjoys to look like minor roleplay characters, like the average Stormwind foot soldier or Night elf archer. I already know about the Stormwind foot soldier armor set they included in WoD, but was there anything else similar added to either expansions?
>tier set bonuses removed, essentially making them the same as any other armor
Not true. They still have bonuses and abilities, they're just granted from the Heart of Azeroth now.
Basically, instead of equipping pieces of "tier" for a "set bonus" now you just get individual tier-specific effects from the HoA.
Anyone who thinks this a problem is a legit simpleton.
This
Once again reducing how much their art department has to make, so fucking lazy
The Antorus sets are crazy though. This is just more people freaking out over nothing.
Bringing up the ToV "sets" is retarded because, yeah they're technically sets but they're not Tier, and ToV never had tier pieces. They were "ensembles" intended for transmog, and there's quite a few "ensembles" in Legion. They were just a bonus thing for doing the stop-gap interim raid.
>no more armor kino
Fucking why?
>it's mythic so I need to wait until next expansion to get my hands on it
Also I saw a picture posted here a while back where a human female was wearing what looked like a simple priest set, with crosses on the shoulder. I took a look around priest cloth sets and didn't find anything remotely similar. Everything was over designed as shit.
Was I being bamboozled or does that set actually exist in game?
>not raiding mythic
Literally why are you playing the game
>they're still doing a thing that can be easily avoided and no one cares about except people who don't play the game
yes?
>Blizzard game is dogshit
HOW COULD THIS HAVE HAPPENED???
No it doesn't, it means you can actually choose what pieces to use and the non-set stuff isn't just garbage.
In the vast majority of cases Mythic is just added artificial difficulty with needing to grind more AP, higher ilvl, having optimal legendaries and using pots/flasks.
It's just a time sink and I no longer have the time I used to have as a student.
>muh artificial difficulty meme
So you can't execute mechanics, got it.
>literally being that LFR casual that complains nu-wow gear is too difficult to get
Take a good look at yourself. This is what you've become.
I missed vanilla where each set had diferent perks
Tier in modern wow doesnt really matter because there isnt enough mechanical depth for tier sets to be playstyle defining like they used to be due to a lack of tailorable stats like talents or even gear stats due to homoginization
One of the biggest complaints this expansion were playstyle defining items. Granted these were legendaries and not tier sets, but a single item can radically change the viability of a spec.
>using WoW as an indicator of gaming skill
Here's your (You).
Every boss in modern wow has a predefined strategy that you can just look up on an in game wiki
The only thing preventing mythic clears is dps beating enrage timers which is entirely gear dependant
You also have boss mods telling you how to avoid every mechanic before it even happens
You shouldn't get everything for free. That's what made nu-wow a lesser product compared to the older expansions. You get too much for free already.
>any retard can clear mythic
>i just dont do it because i dont want to!
Sure thing kiddo.
Nu-WoW mythic raids blow vanilla raids out of the water for difficulty.
The complaint was aquisition of these items the legendaries were gteat if you had them but the retarded rng to get them was stupid as fuck
wowhead.com
This and its variants?
The grind for mythic was so bad this expansion especially nighthold that it killed guilds
the retard who pays with an art tablet still in charge of classes?
>Pots are artificial difficulty
>Being in a shit tier guild that doesn't provide flasks/cauldrons
Outed yourself as never having raided their friendo.
No. The colour scheme was white, red, gold and black. And there were prominent crosses similar to ankhs or the Christian crosses on the shoulders.
I think you need to do the Highmountain quests or at least get rep with them to get cosmetic totems.
Blizzard genuinely ruined the game with their dedication to poopsocking. They should've just doubled down on ten man raids. You know, the format that everyone was actually playing.
People only played ten man because it was easier to organize than 25.
Which of these two did you relate to more?
The Grunt or the Footman?
Sounds like they really solved that problem by removing 10 man raids entirely. How are those sub numbers doing Ion?
Based footman. The dumb fucking grunt is prctivall impalling himself with that attack, footman dude just has to raise his shield and gravity will do the rest.
grunt is about to get the head of a spear feeling his innards and the footman is going to get crushed to death under the weight of him and his axe when he lands. i relate to both because i crave the sweet release of death
Flex is even easier than 10 man though.
They added scaling raids during MoP. Scales between 10m to 25m.
Well, there's artifact appearances if you like collecting transmogs.
The leveling zones anf Suramar campaign are actually pretty good, Broken Shore and Argus not so much.
You might need a minimum of Friendly or Honored rep to unlock Nightborne or Highmountain races in BfA.
Is that all? I mean you get friendly by just doing the questline. I thought they’d want at least Revered.
I think if they did that they'd shoot themselves in the foot.
What's the point of promoting new races as the selling point of a new expansion when you first have to slog through a rep grind of the previous expansion to unlock them?
I think it's exalted actually.
They never confirmed that, just mentuined reputation requirement.
>There are some preliminary requirements to starting the quest chains for Allied races - such as getting exalted with highmountain tauren before you can proceed.
the orc has a 20 foot axe 2 ton axe, cant block that with human genetics
>YOU STEPPED ON MY FOOOOOOOT
>"There are going to be requirements. One of the requirements MIGHT be..."
They probably don't even know themselves yet.
>rep grinds
Sounds fucking stupid.
Just add a simple questline for them.
