There is literally nothing wrong with paid dlc inherently. DLC can mean expansion pack, except you can download it.
DLC is not inherently bad, it's how most companies do it that makes it bad. Whether BotW's season pass (expansion pack split up across 3 parts) is worth its admission is up to you to decide.
But I think so far Nintendo has been good with their big games and dlc.
