To be fair I can't think of any Pokémon game I liked for the story, apart from Sun and maybe Black.

Nothing

Why? Stories in video games are fun

There isn't a single good game in existence that has ever relied on a story and still turned up good. Every single one you might be able to name will be trash, make no mistake.

>There isn't a single video game in existence that has ever relied on gameplay and still turned up good
That is the stupidest statement I've ever heard in my life. I can at least back up what I said, but this is beyond retarded.

You just have different tastes. That's fine but also disappointing. PMD games are a lot of fun and really enjoyable.
Mainline Pokemon and PMD titles are not even close to similar in terms of storytelling though. Mainline Pokemon games don't have much time put into the characters or creating plot twists and the like. Black/White and Sun/Moon were the only ones that even attempted such.

PMD games have always been pushing story hard and to a much more extreme degree.

Tetris

The PMD games all start out very slowly. But when shit gets moving, it never stops.

No, tetris is repetitive and casual tier trash

Tetris is shit though
>extremely simple gameplay mechanically
>requires almost no effort
>highly repetitive
>has nothing else of merit

Same, I never care about the story. I just want the gameplay to be fun.

>that PMD webcomic

There's a webcomic?

Is that an edit or a new mechanic since the dialga/palkia mystery dungeon

not him but i think he's talking about that PokemonXD/PMD crossover
started as a fanfic, became a webcomic

New mechanic
A very minor mechanic at that. Basically instead of having Hoopa as a normal recruit, you get an item that you can use to summon him as an ally, only you won't be able to control him like you would other party members when exploring. He's basically an escort Pokemon you can call upon through item usage.

Mewtwo a shit

>escort Pokémon
A /d/ and /vp/ love story

...

You're not a story person. That's all it is.

Some people love experiencing stories, some people don't.

>mario games don't exist

ok

>visual novels don't exist

ok

VN are not games.

Because you want to fucking play, not watch or listen to something.
You want to live an adventure, not see someone telling you a story.

keep telling yourself that.

To add to that he was absolute shit originally due to his move pool. Fortunately you are allowed to change his moves and make him useful.

They have more gameplay elements than walking simulators or anything by Telltale.

Walking Simulators are not games.

Sure, keep just making the list of what counts as a game smaller. Let's just remove anything that doesn't have microtransactions and lootboxes from the list of "real games".

Are you retarded? Of course VN are games, I keep them in my "games" folder.

Man, this reminded me how much I hate Super Mystery Dungeon. I cannot finish that shit

>Let's just remove anything that doesn't have microtransactions and lootboxes from the list of "real games".

Well, you can do it if you want, but I didn't say that. But, of course, VN aka manga with the ocasional "choose your own adventure" prompt are not videogames.

>VN aka manga with the ocasional "choose your own adventure" prompt are not videogames.
You clearly don't play VN. Modern VN have actual gameplay in them, see Danganronpa which has everything from platforming segments to racing and fishing games in it, and a full board and and RPG system for the post-game content, all on top of the trial gameplay and investigation gameplay. Yes, it's still a Visual Novel with all of that in it.

Here's a better crop, user.
Just don't ask me why or how I got this.
