All right losers what am i in for? I plan to play normal difficulty first. Whats the Next best thing since battlemage isnt a class?
All right losers what am i in for? I plan to play normal difficulty first...
Cipher is really cool and monk is OP.
>he's playing as a godlike
nah i was just looking through races when i decided to post this
Saw this was on sale. Worth picking up now or waiting for Winter sales?
I see, carry on then
also Monk is really fun to play, if you go for high risk/high reward
Cipher is basically a battle mage.
You build magic casting juice by hitting things.
Ironically Cypher magic is even stronger than mage magic but as stated it takes time to build casting energy while mages can just spam magic at the start of the fight.
OH really?
What should I skill then?
Mechanics and sneaking since you're black.
I guess to an extent Cleric and Druid are also battle mages seeing as they also fight up close.
But one of the best and most crucial lore companions in the game is a cleric and you can also find a Druid later as a companion.
>tfw Heritage Hill gets fucked again in the epilogue because you forgot to destroy the zombie machine
w-whoops
Anything that is hard CC or high damage.
And always anytime pick anything that is confuse or charm or mind collector.
Ciphers can literally charm bosses to fight for you.
As stated cypher CC is super effective but you cant spam it like mages can its more like a Super or Ex Attack in a fighting game.
Reading endless amount of incomprehensible shit that has nothing to do with the game itself
All the golden backer NPCs are marked as such and you can literally ignore all of them as nothing more than random NPCs populating the world as decorations. Hell i red the first 2 and then never payed any attention to them ever again.
I'd say Cipher, Priest or Druid for battlemage type fun. I would lean more toward Cipher or Druid because you get a pretty cool Priest companion. Ciphers are also relevant to the theme and story, whereas Druids are actually good for once in an RPG.
Companion ranking
Bro-tier: Eder, Durance, Zahua
Okay tier: Aloth, GM
ZZZ Tier: Sagani, Pallegina
Actively Annoying tier: Hiravias, Maneha, Devil, Kana Rua
How good are chanters? They seem pretty interesting but I'm afraid they might be gimmicky.
not op btw
How my stats looking?
Normally, I play a mage or a thief. But when I was making my character and I saw that portrait, I knew in my heart I was going to be a big blue barbarian.
Pretty good but not really interesting to play
shark orcs and Durance really were the best thing to come out of this game
You don't need any resolve at all
I also picked this up. I like playing planetouched type characters. Also normally go through crpgs two or three times. Always once as a good paladin or fighter or something else heavy and armored because that seems it's always what the devs make as the "default canon" class and shit. Once as an evil sorcerer or warlock or something else magiky. And if the game is good enough, once more as a fairly neutral thief, bard or what have you.
I assume all three archtypes are in this game? There any resource to show me what I should be doing for those three games, if the game even is worth playing thrice?
And I'm guessing godlike is like planetouched? What's wrong with godlike?
godlike were added in for a backer who donated a lot, they're basically the special snowflake race that feel out of place in the game and very few characters actually address the fact that you're a godlike
i disabled it but the cultest fucks somehow fixed it and everything went to shit again.
Outside of a few examples they don't address your race no matter what it is in most crpgs. You can be a tiefling and you'll only get called out a dozen times during the game, but they will still give you the quest or help you even though lorewise nobody should trust you.
It's a shame since Resolve gets the best checks.
>All right losers what am i in for?
A disappointment.
>Whats the Next best thing since battlemage isnt a class?
Cipher
How much is playable?
