Pic related. Not sure what it would look like as a game, but the setting and lore are unique and interesting.

I couldn't stop thinking about Redwall during my Skaven campaign in Warhammer 2.
Fuck, someone needs to make a mod now. All the models and units are there already.
Man this guy writes some good food porn. Im miss reading these as a kid. Shame only the main 2 or 3 books got an anime adaptation
They are actually making a proper Redwall came right now, so your wait will soon be over.
Total War: Redwall sounds pretty awesome to me
just fucking play armello
it's pretty average, but it's the closest you'll get to an actual redwall game
I didn't know about Redwall until a couple years ago, from a thread on Sup Forums. Probably because I'm not from the anglosphere.
What is it about? Is the lore good?
Would totally be down for a rpg type of action game, where your able to choose your class monk, archer, swordsman but its story based linier.
Can do small mission for others to help with clues to finding mattias old books or helping the otters so they come to your aid as you progress to finding to redwall sword and leading everyone to beating off the rat forces
This is going to be about as close as your gonna get
The scale isn't there unfortunately.
Still, the setting would make for a great RTS game.
Especially that one book where Matias' son campaigns with an otter army to some rat slave-city.
>dark souls of mouse games
>boss fight in the vipers tunnel
>what is maus?
>Redwall
>cartoons are anime
I know this is b8 and all, but fuck you anyway.
This user has it right. Heard it's pretty good also.
Elric, Corum, Hawkmoon, Von Bek.
Just the entire Eternal Champion series and Moorcock stuff.
Goddamn it, we need a proper Elric vidya.
Have you tried Ghost of a Tale?
>the wardstone chronicles
>the ranger's apprentice
I don't remember anything about them except that I liked them and wanted a videogame about them
I'll tell you about the first book, Redwall. First of all, everyone is a fucking animal. It's aimed toward older children ~ young teens, and about a medieval abbey with secrets. The protagonist is sort of an everyman mouse who uncovers the secrets, and fights a big mean rat at the end. Its sort of a traditional story, but it's really good. It's very well written, and famous for its long detailed descriptions of delicious food. As a kid it was one of my favorite books. It's way beyond the furfag fanfanction you see today by far
The other user also forgot to mention the great battles.
The rats are besiegins the fortified monastery of Redwall, so the protagonist is trying to solve the secrets of the ancient heroes of the place to find some legendary sword before the rats finally break in.
I think all the books have some sort of war-theme.
The river crossing battle in the slaver trade campaign book was really memorable for me, I remember it clearly even though I read it when I was like 11.
Its a racist white supremist fantasy where Mice, Badgers, Hares and moles living in their developed areas privileged and stuffed with food while the "darker" creatures that represent minorities such as rats, snakes, weasels, stoats and foxes struggle and starve outside while the "white" creatures get to pretend they are on the side of virtue "protecting" their privileged way of life
>when you OD on redpills
It’s mostly meant for children, but is still enjoyable.
Fine prove me wrong
Protip:You cant
they're fun reads but practically every book plays out the same after the first couple. a groupa furries go out on a quest, redwall gets seiged while they're away, they come back and fight back the bad guys then get fuckin CRUNK offa redcurrent cordial
Chromehounds redone with Zoids. It could be incredible.
PC first, doomed console ports to follow
>Redwall
Dude God lmao XD hope you had a good time at church on sunday I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers
I just want either a KLK fighting game or a KLK JRPG. Hell I'd take some low-budget Gacha game where you fight Life Fibers in space or some shit.
Some faggots wish there was a real Sburb game, but all I need is some Problem Sleuth vidya
I'm sorry your parents made you go to church, user
First few books are alright. Redwall, Mattimeo, Mossflower, and Martin the Warrior are all top tier. A lot of books in the series start following the same pattern after a while and get super predictable. Outside of the ones mentioned too, the books have an awful habit of making the villains mostly dumb and incompetent or spineless cowards when cornered, making a lot of the final battles pretty anticlimactic. The good guys often win overwhelming victories and barely lose anyone on their side aside from a character here are there for the obligatory "sad" moment of each book.
They're still enjoyable reads for the most part though. I'm pretty sure I read all of them up until the author's death and I don't remember any of them standing out as particularly bad.
...
>brian jacques is fucking dead
...
>Always liked the ferret and weasel characters
>they always ended up dying horribly
always liked the art on some of the covers.
How in fuck are there no Dinotopia RPGs?
ANTIFA orc posting? What am I fucking reading?
>always liked the Foxes
>reading Taggerung
>one of the gang member is a short fox named Rabad
>thisguyiscool.jpg
>they try to cross waist high river with flesh eating fish by holding paws and wading
>they all make a mad dash fort the shore
>Rabad's height causes him to be the only one left behind and to get ripped apart by killer fish
>Mfw
...
Because Dinotopia sucked ass that's why
Quit trying to hijack this topic
Bronze/Iron Age ME.
Especially if you're playing as one of the Gods in a city builder or RTS. Fighting with other gods/cities because there can only be one! (Which is how Judaism evolved)
>Fantasy cross Dinosaur world
>Sucks
Do you even have taste bruh?
>Bruh
Fucking stop
Go make a shitty topic about dinotopia and time how fast it drops to page ten
Been awhile since we had a good Conan game.
I used to like that MMO back when it first came out, but that survival game sucked ass.
>Never got ANY Kill la Kill games
A fucking shame is what that is. Would've been perfect for a Platinum game or something a few years back
...
>Redwall, Mattimeo, Mossflower, and Martin the Warrior are all top tier
Funny those were the ones I read, and the Luke one.
Martin was the first I read, and if I remember right it had a really sad ending. Where he wins the battle but he has nothing left to live for.
Well, basically a proper Warhammer fantasy based rpg would be cool. That universe is so fucking huge. From Warhammer Nips, to crusader Brettonian knights I can imagine an actually well written Obsidian rpg.
yea because Rose gets fucking slammed into a stone wall and dies
The books could be fucking brutal at times, in one of them a badger lord and his hare army do battle against a wildcat warlord and his vermin army on a beach with a massive fortress carved into an extinct volcano, both armies utterly slaughter each other and the badger and the wildcat are the only two left alive at the end. They attack each other bare-fisted, and eventually the badger lord puts the wildcat into a bearhug so tight that it snaps his spine, and the badger leaves him to die broken and paralyzed on the beach surrounded by the corpses of his own soldiers
>the books have an awful habit of making the villains mostly dumb and incompetent or spineless cowards when cornered
Outcast of Redwall had pretty interesting villains I thought, Veil especially was a pretty fresh idea as a vermin that grew up as sort of a fish out of water, surrounded by peaceful animals but unable/unwilling to give up his violent nature as a vermin animal despite the attempts of everyone around him to change him for the better
A game where you play a normal imperial guy and fight against all the things that want to fuck you up would be cool. Fairly low power levels so even normal beastmen are a threat and chaos warriors are super tough and dangerous. I just love how shitty the life is for imperial soldiers and a game that is built around this idea would be cool.
Literally Tooth and Tail. Good game too.
