Not even Michael Fassbender could save this movie. What the fuck went wrong?
Not even Michael Fassbender could save this movie. What the fuck went wrong?
They made his "ancesor" look exactly like him? What the fuck?
Everything about it, really. It really felt like an amateur team with a fat budget making a movie.
it's assassin's creed
Damn, just like the first two games
Except Desmond did not look like Ezio
Pardonez
I liked it for what it was, would have preferred a bit more of the movie to be like the final sequence, with actual infiltrating and killing in a very public setting.
The movie made a point that the historical segments were just research and training, and not the primary focus. Aguilar didn't even have a personality of his own, he was basically a brainwashed drone.
>video game movie
there you go.
they're fucking cursed, even animated ones like Ratchet & Clank never had a chance.
He literally did. There's even an explanation that the user of the animus unconsciously projects his own face on his ancestor
The script and source material were garbage. Assassin't Creed as a franchise embodies a level of idiocy superior to even Star Wars.
Sandniggers, wops, what's the difference?
I still remember the reactions of the normalfags, they clearly didnt have any idea what the fuck was going on , lol
Shitty pacing and a meh script
Not even Jeremy Irons could save this
lol desmond is a spic
Here's your (당신).
>only a templar deals in absolutes
What did this mongoloid mean by this?
The story was too disjointed and nigh incomprehensible for someone not familiar with the games.
The constant scene jumping to show that he was attached to the animus. It was way overdone and ruined the action scenes with how constant it was.
the entire movie was a buildup to nothing for 2 hours and there were no likeable characters
But they spent 3 whole scenes with talking heads describing what it was and how it worked
I've played every single one of the AC games and I still had no idea what was going on. I also couldn't believe that the best plot they could come up with was a retread of AC1 but condensed into one and a half hours.
who was it for
Wait, this movie came out? How did I not know this? What the hell?
Considering he's not that good an actor, it shouldn't be a surprise
Reminder that Fassbender's wife is also about to ruin a video game movie franchise
god I wish that were me
it was the definition of 'okay' for me, but probably just straight up bad for someone not familiar with the games. but the chick that played Sofia was hot and it had Omar in it, so that was cool.
They info dump the entire thing on you at once, but not much of it got through imo.
Like did they even really explain what the Piece of Eden was that they stole at the end?
how not to play assassin's creed: the movie
>Not even Michael Fassbender could save this movie
Fassbender has never been a leading man in a successful film. Even in X-men he was never 'THE' leading man. That was always McAvoy or Jackman.
I felt like they could have done the action scenes a lot better. Too many fucking cuts and editing.
>What the fuck went wrong?
it was a video game movie
Which franchise?
Years ago I wanted Peter Jackson to direct a live action Legend of Zelda and go full force like with LotR. After The Hobbit I doubt he will ever put so much effort into making a film again.
>look up his wife
the assbender married that skeleton? how sad.
I bought the dvd for this a couple months ago, but I keep forgetting to watch it. I haven't played the games since the last of the Ezio trilogy, guess it kind of burnt me out after that. I've had AC3 for years and haven't put it in my console once.
Fuck work for taking up all of my gaming time, my backlog is ginormous.
>assasins creed movie
Let me guess, they wasted half of the movie in the present instead of showing people a medieval ninja doing parkour
There was dust and/or smoke everywhere in that movie.
>probably just straight up bad for someone not familiar with the games
I think someone who hasn't played the games actually has stands a better chance of enjoying the film. The conceit of the film is pretty much the same as the games but the plot itself is a lot more basic than any of the games. If you're unfamiliar with this combination of secret history, genetic memory, hidden societies and parcour, then the movie might feel fresh. It just doesn't put anything new to the table compared to the games.
No, they wasted 75% of the movie in the present and the biggest action sequences took place then as well.
it was 70% modern stuff 30% history stuff, the abridged version of the Spanish inquisition.
