Bayonetta isn't even the best series in its genre

Sega only published it, Platinum developed it. Directed by Hideki Kamiya specifically.

But the way that Bayonetta handles its sexuality is I guess more... classy? Like we're all in on the joke, like Bayonetta knows how sexy she is and uses it as a source of power. She doesn't do any of that "UWAHHH I FELL DOWN AND NOW MY PANTIES ARE SHOWING, HOW EMBARRASSING~" bullshit. She is strong as fuck and will kick the shit out of you, but also tease you while doing it. It also helps that the gameplay is fun and the game is overall very stylish. My one complaint is that the plot is way too drawn out and expository.

It's one of my favorites though.

Eh, I would definitely say that I think there's scale for "classy" ways to pull off a BDSM references character. For all of its over-the-top that makes it pulpy, the character herself pulls it off with more class than other ways such a character can be done.
