Can you guys recommend me some good RPGs that have an interesting story, a nice gameplay, and its at least as good to look at as P3 for PS2 ou Xenoblade on the Wii. Xenoblade is a game that really got me hooked in the first few hours, but I stopped playing since I cant save the game on Dolphin. Do you think I'll be able to play Xeno2? And I'm not talking about The Witcher or TES kind of RPGs, just to make it clear...

Shit is missing the first half of my thread. I was saying that I really liked some RPG's like P4G, but I could'nt keep playing because the story was taking too long to get going (but I get why Persona should be this way). I also tryed FFVII, but couldn't play it for too long since I get lost all the time. So I was asking if you guys can help me get into RPGs by telling me some entry games.

>is ADHD and literally shit at games
>wants to play JRPGs
shit son, you really need to get meds and gud.

>nice gameplay
>good to look at
>P3
WHAT THE FUCK

Sorry, but what is ADHD? I am shit at games, indeed, but there are some games I should be able to enjoy, right? haha

Well, P3 has good enough graphics not to get me bothered by it (like FFVII).

Clearly not the J-RPGs. That term's like the synonym with "say bye bye to your life for the next 100-200 hours".

If you literally have problems staying interested in babby's first JRPGs like FF7 and P4, then you have no hope.

maybe haha

>being a graphix whore
FF7 is pretty and atmospheric AF

>comparing a ps2 game to a ps game
Are you retarded? P3 looks like shit compared to Nocturne, DDS, or Raidou.

Well, P4 was great for some time, and I would probably like it if I kept up with it. FFVII I really couldn't play. I just don't know where to go way too frequently.
That gif is really nice, actually. But from what I played, I couldnt get to that nice atmosphere parts. If I could get going with the game, I would play it. Not going to drop a game because of its graphics.
Are you retarded? I am not comparing one to another, I am just saying I prefer a game recommendation that has at least P3 graphics level. Also, the only reason I say that is because I imagine that if it has at least those graphics, the game is going to be easier to navigate and get to the objective. And I may get a bigger immersion with the game.

>That gif is really nice, actually. But from what I played, I couldnt get to that nice atmosphere parts. If I could get going with the game, I would play it. Not going to drop a game because of its graphics.
That's literally the fourth screen of the game, though.

Anyway, personally I'd suggest any of the other PS2 Shin Megamix Tensei games. It sounds like you enjoyed Persona, at least, so maybe you should look into SMT Nocturne.

I'll also recommend Radiant Historia for the DS, one of my favourite J RPGs of all time.

I am actually really tempted to get back and try FFVII again. The music was great. But the story seems to be really slow to get trough, and Cloud seems to be such an empty character... Does anybody know how to get savefiles to work on Xenoblade when running on Dolphin?

>Cloud seems like such an empty character
Cloud has serious mental issues. He's the exact opposite of empty.

Oh, is it? Wait, is it when we first meet the dudes and kill those enemies? I could'nt get trough the districts I think. How do you guys know where you are supposed to go in these games?
And thanks for the recommendations, I'll take note of the games people recommend me here and I'll save the list to play someday.

There's barely any JRPGS with actual good gameplay and their plots are usually shounenshit

That's great. I just said that because he was so quiet from what I had played.

>Are you retarded? I am not comparing one to another, I am just saying I prefer a game recommendation that has at least P3 graphics level
That's not what you said, you stupid fuck. You said P3 was good to look at, which it isn't. It's like saying ff7 is good to look at when fucking ff8 and ff9 look much better.

shounenshit is like a super threat and the chosen one hero who get its power from friendship and just blow the shit out of the dude whos bad? Because I dont want to play 70 hours of a game just to realise I had already heard that story 30 times before...

One of my friends spoiled me what happends in the end of Mother 3. Thats a nice ending. Are Xenoblade and FFVII shounenshit?

If you press select, arrows will pop up showing any exits on the screen you're on.

He's quiet because he's still in shock over watching his best friend get horribly murdered in front of his eyes. He'll start to show more character later on when he begins to imitate his best friend as a coping mechanism.

He's using it as a baseline. Think of it as a 'you must be this tall to ride' sign.

Yess, that "you must be this tall to ride" exemple gets what I was trying to say with the P3 graphics exemple. Thanks.

Well, yeah, I imagine I knew how the map works... Is it as simple as "you have been told what to do, just follow the arrows and you'll get to the next cuscene"? Not going to lie, I feel dumb after that reply hahah

The first few acts of the game are pretty linear, but if you pay attention to what people are saying you shouldn't have any trouble once you adjust to the graphical style.

You should still try to explore everything, though. There's a lot of stuff important to the plot you can miss, like a certain elderly couple in a backwater town wondering where their SOLDIER son is, the scientists house in the snow village, and an entire flashback sequence if you return to Nibelheim in the endgame.

What are you smoking, dolphin supports saving xenoblade.

>Do you think I'll be able to play Xeno2?
If you've got a Switch, sure. Also you can save on Dolphin, so the first Xenoblade shouldn't be a problem.

The graphics arent really a problem. I don't mind at all old graphics if they don't give me problems to play the game. After the gif someone posted here before, graphics defenely dont look like a problem in FFVII.

And those things like the elderly couple wondering where their soldier son is is so nice (to be playing and see a story like that in paralel with the main story)

Stopped smoking bro. The game says some error when I try to save in game, and Dolphin didn't save when I tryed. Played almost 3 hours of that game, really liked it, just to lose all progress because it didnt save. Not in game, not on the emulator save slot.

>Xenoblade is a game that really got me hooked in the first few hours, but I stopped playing since I cant save the game on Dolphin.

breh are you retarded. I replayed Xeno on Dolphin at least over a year ago and was able to save np. I highly doubt they broke it

Why does everyone on the internet act like a mouthbreathing animal?

I know how to save normaly in Dolphin... The in game save doesnt work, it doesnt create a save file, and the dolphin save state file is empty shit. Doesnt work.

The ingame save works.

You have to play Tales of Vesperia...it's 10/10 goodness.

What the fuck is this retarded thread

oh Bravely Default easy

Maybe it's my ISO or something?
I was having an error when trying to run Xenoblade too, but I fixed it.

I've heared great things about it. May give it a try sometime. Thanks.

Yeah np, easily the single best JRPG to come out in years, in my opinion

On PS3 atleast.

I don't like JRPG gameplay != JRPGs have bad gameplay

>If you literally have problems staying interested in babby's first JRPGs like FF7 and P4, then you have no hope.
I didn't like either of those games and I mostly like JRPGs in general.

You must be actually retarded.

I've definitely saved Xenoblade in game and in the emulator save state slot

Do you even try to Google answers to issues you have?

>there were like 3 replies saying that it works
>mine doesnt
>dude still doesnt understand there is a problem with my Dolphin or Xenoblade file
And I'm the retarded... I don't need you to tell me it works in a properly running Dolphin and ISO, you twat. And I have google the issues.

Did you try another version of Dolphin at least?

I'm using the last version, but I'll give an older version a try.

Maybe check the directory settings, its normally a faulty save directory line that fucks up saving games on emulators.
source: years of emulating.

>And I'm the retarded

Thanks. So if I erase everything Dolphin related and download it again, the problem will get fixed, isnt it (if that's the case, obviously)?

Have you played Lost Odyssey, OP? It looks lovely and has fun classic turn-based gameplay. The story is a bit hit or miss, but it has some really great side stories and the characters are really likable.

Thanks. Never heard of it. I'll see more about it and may put it on the list to play.

>But from what I played, I couldnt get to that nice atmosphere parts.
That said scene alone happens literally like 5 minutes into the game.

>I don't like JRPG gameplay != JRPGs have bad gameplay

Name a single turnbased JRPG that comes as close to divinity sin in gameplay this gen.

...

This.

>Cloud is such an empty vessel of a personality he literally copies the personality of a guy, who is fucking the girl he likes, in hopes the girl fucks him now that the other guy is dead
Wow what a deep character.

>cutting off best girl's head

You don't deserve nice gameplay

Why don't you play action RPG's then OP? Nier is pretty story driven, Nights of Azure 2, some musou games or some shit, I don't know manu JARPGs

Because they all suck pretty bad. Button smashing and more non fluid combat is not fun at all.
