ITT we post titles which we played fully from start to finish and enjoyed them very much, but which being shat on by many scrubshit losers who never actually thoroughly played these titles or even just seen them.
Basically there's this bunch of massive faglords from the "general consumerist" audience out there who, when you're talking with someone else on gaming topics, love to interject/interfere by proclaiming loudly that "game you're discussing is utter shit, because I said so" while haven't ever played it themselves, haven't even seen it, or played it for VERY little amount of time before deeming it "bad/shitty" and dropping it. And there are very many of such shitheads out there, so when you're getting swayed by their """""(((opinion)))""""" you actually might start unreasonably hating a game you've never seen or played. So ITT we post titles which "many hate for no reason" and which we found actually to be a pretty solid playing experience after trying them personally. I'll start: Eretzvaju, Battle Arena Toshinden 2, BIOHAZARD/RE 0, Koudelka, Blue Stinger, ILLBLEED, The King of Fighters 2001, Chrono Cross, Rogue Galaxy, Mortal Kombat Deception, Parasite Eve II, Final Fantasy VIII, P.N. 03, Dead In The Water, G-Police 2, Street Sk8er/Street Boarders, Omikron The Nomad Soul, Forgotten Realms Demon Stone, The Lion King (Genesis/MegaDrive), Bound By Flame, Bujingai, Rise of Nightmares, Phantasy Star III, Torment Tides of Numenera, Paradise Cracked/КДP, Ehrgeiz, Cardinal Syn, XIII, Time Stalkers, Alundra 2, Shadow Man. All of these I keep on hearing constantly being trashed and shitted upon by the general shithead audience all the time, but after personally playing through them all thoroughly I can definitely with a 100% confidence say they're not even remotely close to being as THAT bad as grey masses make them seem like. Sure, these are no "10 out of 10" titles that sometimes have pretty noticeable flaws, but they absolutely don't deserve such BS treatment.

Wonderful 101 is the posterboy for that, the perfect storm:
On a failed console barely anyone bought No marketing, released up against GTAV Unique gameplay and controls that are difficult to master Reviewed poorly because casual game reviewers could not wrap their heads around the controls Visuals that don't lend themselves well to the standard cinematic trailers Game is a homage to a niche genre/style

You forgot to log in, Pat. You have extremely shitty taste in games if you openly proclaim before the entire internet (and you did) that both Resident Evil 0 and Code Veronica are very bad games.

People hate Koudelka? I almost never see it mentioned to begin with, but I never see anything negative when it is.

I don't see Star Trek Online get half the praise it deserves. It blows the old republic out of the fucking water. I really like the crazy things you can do with ship or away team builds.

Had very troubled development cycle (was supposed to be full-on Resident Evil clone with real time battles at the beginning, when games was finished by about 80% they've changed their mind and decided to make a J-RPG out of it, re-hauling thing almost from scratch while leaving many survival horror elements intact and cutting a SHITTON of content like locations, enemies, puzzles, and etc. The end result was still a pretty playable, but quite messy RPG), was constantly lumped in together with such shit as "Evil Dead Hail To The King" and "Countdown Vampires" back in the days when it came out. Absolute majority never finished it, being owned at the middle of Disc 1 or 2 as the game requires grinding to be any playable, hence where all the bias and prejudice accumulated with years come from. It's almost exactly same situation as was with Final Fantasy VIII back in the days of it's initial release - most people absolutely undeservingly trashed it simply because "it's too different" from what their little sorry asses "got used to" (as in - easy-breezy-as-fuck J-RPGs like Lunar or Marl), with the main difference being that FF VIII is actually a super highly quality game while Koudelka was a very clear budget title. After Shadow Hearts came out and it was found out that Koudelka is actually a direct prequel of it, hence Koudelka is a canonical part of Shadow Hearts series, Koudelka garnered a somewhat cult status and gathered a lot more attention that it ever got back in the initial release days, but considering that it's not a very good game to being with - it never gets super-highly praised even nowadays. Basically the main treatment of it today is "it's Shadow Hearts' prequel so if you're a fan of Shadow Hearts you should play through it at least once for story and completion purposes, but it's really not a very good game so you'll have to bear with it's many flaws" kind of a consensus.

Ah, I wouldn't have known some of this, as I only heard of it within the past year or so. I actually started playing it quite recently and don't mind it at all, though the battles do seem a little repetitive in the early parts of the game that I'm in. Guess it makes sense if there was so much cut content like you said. I knew they had difficulty deciding on what genre the game should be, and the setting in combination with being a turn-based RPG interested me in the beginning, but now I kind of wish they did go with something else, as the battles sometimes pull me away from having any sort of immersion. Still an interesting game so far for me, though I am not looking forward to the grinding portion in the middle of the game that you mentioned, whenever that will come up.

Google up "Koudelka secret items and how to get them" and you'd wish Koudelka was never made, lol. Also - both endings suck major donkey balls even though one of them is canon.

Is that a compliment?

Sounds like you haven't touched a Final Fantasy VIII thread in over 5 years if you think it only receives unfair criticism and nobody knows what they're talking about.

I never said anything about Sup Forums, you neoFAGlord. Learn to read and comprehend information provided. I was speaking strictly only about "general shithead" audience, as in "so-called self-proclaimed modern age gaymers" and "casual Let's Not Play'ers". The majority of gray mass. I couldn't care less about what Sup Forums says, as it's a known fact that Sup Forums has very different tastes and preferences than the outside world. Sup Forums is living in it's own bubble universe where shit is good and good is shit.
Kevin Lewis
>"game you're discussing is utter shit, because I said so" You really can't claim to be talking about non-Sup Forums discussion when you make generalised quotes like that. Everything in the OP points towards a complaint of the casual cancer on Sup Forums that ruins threads. >Learn to read and comprehend information provided. Your original post is written terribly and is harder to read than the more difficult chapters of Ulysses.
