The basic fact is that normalfags don't have two faces. I work during the day and talk to people about stuff like Sopranos, and then come home to marathon Sailor Moon. I don't reveal my powerlevel
Normalfags need everything they do to be put on facebook, and anytime someone asks them "What did you do on the weekend" they gotta answer truthfully.

Therefore they have to make video games more appealing to talk about with other normalfags. That's why they have to be ironic weebs. They are sanitizing everything so they can put it on facebook and talk about it at work without feeling weird. They can't have lolis or anything that would get them stigmatized. They can't just play a loli eroge and shut up, they have to bring it to work and discuss.

That being said, I tread carefully when I see tna in vidya. Like in any other form of visual media, they are often used to lure people into spending money on a work that doesn't really deserve it on its characteristics in relation to the medium.

For example, you'd expect a video game to have good (meaning somewhat original, challenging, deep, non-repetitive, etc) gameplay... and pacing, sound design, soundtrack, etc. If a game lacks all of those, most people will ignore it. But if it lacks does and it has tna, it will lure some people in.

Terminator doesn't need a hottie as Sara Connor. Transformers needs models to play female roles.

You can still have a game that is good on its own merits AND has tna, though.

Usually this is in anime styled games. DoA is a good example, in that the game has entirely devolved into an excuse to put 3D models in bikinis.

If it's a bad game with attractive women It will still be pleasant to look at even if It's a bad game. That's still an advantage.
