The writing definitely does.
Yes.
CAST HIM IN
The combat could have definitely been better. The writing is still good though.
Perfect example of a classic
>being 14 and trying to understand wtf the plot was about
Oh yes, and the voice acting is to die for.
Dreamcast version is great.
KAIN IS DEIFIED
Too much block pushing in the first
Everything else is great
"Alas, poor Nupraptor, I knew him well. Well, not really."
"Suppose you throw a coin enough times. Eventually, it'll land on its edge..."
I have yet to find a game that where the voice acting is as good as it is in Legacy of Kain
>block pusing in the first
>first game in the series is Blood Omen
THE CLANS TELL TALES OF HIM
>that Kain & Raziel easter egg in Tomb Raider.
story telling and voice acting are among the best...
gameplay feels clumsy today...
the voice actors are kind of dying... some of them already did
He meant in order of release, obviously.
Yes. Blood Omen came out before Soul Reaver
BLOOD OMEN MASTER RACE
Ah, shit. My bad bro, I was thinking of BO2.
Most definitely. The entire series is well worth a play, except maybe Blood Omen 2.
>playing some broken pirated copy that had no voice over
>being 14 and trying to understand wtf the plot with mute characters was about
But Blood Omen 2 solves the Hylden problem from Defiance
>this will get rebooted soon
>It will be shit
Nah.
> Buy Gex
> Includes demos of other games
> Play Soul Reaver
> Trailer wtf
> Music scares the fuck out of my 7 year old mind.
WHAT PITIFUL FORM IS THIS I'VE COME TO INHABIT
Kain can toss all the coins he wants but he never recovers from being emasculated by this guy.
>1000 years later, he destroys his empty tomb out of spite.
...
...
KAIN REFUSED THE SACRIFICE
>It'll have an all new voice cast
My hope is that it'll stay niche enough for it to be left alone, especially after Nosgoth's failure. I'm prefectly fine with never getting anothe LoK game if it means it stays safe from the mediocre reboot/remake scurge plagueing video games at the moment.
LET THE HYLDEN IN OPEN BORDERS
FUCK THE ELDER GOD WHOSE REAL NAME IS NYATRUMPOTEP
KAIN'S DAUGHTER WHO CAME OUT OF NO WHERE IS THE KEY TO SAVING NOSGOTH
ELZEVIR THE DOLLMAKER DID NOTHING WRONG PEDOPHILIA IS OKAY
I started playing Blood Omen for the first time this year and was definitely enjoying it, so for that one at least I'd say yes. I got to a point where I think I needed to backtrack and haven't gone back to it since, but I totally intend to finish it and continue with the series. I really dig the atmosphere and tone.
not really
no
I mean I loved Soul Reaver, and kinda liked the others because of the story. But nostalgia google aside, it didn't age well.
By torrent? Because I've looked on both GoG and Steam and couldn't find it. I got Blood Omen 2 on sale but that one is invisible.
I torrented it, yeah. There was some stuff I needed to do to get it to work properly for modern computers though, so you would have to figure that out because I don't remember what I did. Or just emulate the PS1 version, but that apparently has much worse load times.
torrent is the only way to get legend of kainman: blood borne 1. gog and steam is too gay for it.
Put this shit in the ds3/bb engine and update the block puzzles, keep the original voice work, instant 11/10
Nosgoth was pretty fun too. What a shame.
Tumbling, burning with white hot fire, I plunged into the depths of the abyss. Unspeakable pain, relentless agony, time ceased to exist. Only this torture and a deepening hatred of the hypocrisy that damned me to this hell
imagine this game with the decima engine...
What video game comes close to the QUALITY of voice acting in LoK?
Killer7
Onimusha 3
Halo 3
DOOM
Gameplay-wise not really unfortunately, but it's definitely one of the neater games of its time, from its setting and writing/acting to the material and spectral realm-shifting.
