Why are you so determined to call the Wii U a irredeemably horrible console? Like absolutely zero worth as a game system.

Is it really that horrid?

I personally don't. I love my WiiU, I've had one since launch. It's basically a N64 without Goldeneye to me. And it's the best Nintendo emulation machine on the market until the Switch gets gutted open. I can literally play every Nintendo game from the NES to the DS, plus Wii and Wii U. There's only 2 Nintendo games currently I can't play on it, XBC2 and Mario Odyssey, but I own a Switch for those.

It's a fantastic machine, I just hope someone in the homebrew world figures out a way to completely disable needing to use the Gamepad for when they all eventually die.

It's never been that hard to figure out. If you like nintendo first party games, it's worth it for the factor of being able to play anything from the GC to Wii U.
If you're looking for 3rd party, it's not.

PC+ Nintendo has been the best combo since the SNES

The Wii U is probably the worst console I've owned other than the Atari. If you're thinking of getting one just spend the extra money for a switch seeing how it has most the games on it anyway.

You can get all the above for about ~200€$ total (excluding tv screen) show me another console that has such a good value

I can see why it failed, some of these First parties are so shit, Super Mario maker (nuff said), Splatoon (major issues with online stability, balance) Super smash bros (Mediocre single player worse than melee and brawl, online issues) Mario Kart 8 (I just don't like the design choices) Pokken (terrible single player, really easy to cheese it) I've played all of these for a year straight and currently still am, so there.

Nintendont supports the gamepad now, meaning you can play GC games on it. I was personally hoping for a PS1 emulator but last i checked a few months ago nobody was willing to optimize it

There are more Wii U threads on Sup Forums than there are threads about Switch games. Sure, 90 threads about the console, but none about the games other than Zelda (which is, of course, a Wii U original).

It has good games but it also has some deficiencies. No proper 3D Mario, just Super Mario 3D World which is a 3D version of linear point-A-to-point-B levels. How could a Nintendo console exist without a main series 3D Mario? It also has no exclusive Zelda, just two HD remasters, and then it had Breath of the Wild which is also on Switch. Finally, it had extremely poor marketing. They tried to capitalize on the success of the Wii brand name, but it backfired because most of the casuals thought Wii U was an add-on for Wii.
