Yeah, I would love a modern HxH game. I would also be happy with all the JP HxH games being translated. I really want to play as Chairman Netero for some reason.

I'd love a Hunter x Hunter game that works kinda like Xenoverse. A mission based game. It could be integrated into the lore easly too. You create your hunter and take up contracts. After that you spend your money on new equipment, weapons and other goodies.
Creating a nen power perhaps? Like having various parameters that combine and shape your unique nen power.

If i were to design the game, i'd make it somewhat open world in a Monster Hunter style. Basically various large open areas including a couple of hubs. I'd be fine with an open world too.

Here's how i'd create the flow of the game:
>first pick your heritage, Kurta, Common folk, Hunter descendant, Meteor City etc. Etc. Each heritage creates a predisposition for your nen category besides commoner which dictates balanced stats.
>hunter exam, a randomly generated puzzle/action sequences after which you get a licence, basically the first mission
>finding a nen tutor, be it a randomly generated character or a well known hunter figure, they will teach you depending on your affinity towards them


And i'll stop right here. A HxH game would be way too expansive and large. Still my dream to play one.

I would love to play something like this, unfortunately I don't think it's realistic. A create-a-nen feature would be way too open ended to implement into a video game, not to mention it would be potentially game breaking if you came up with something too OP. I'm pretty sure you could create a Death Note using nen in the HxH universe, for instance. It's still my favorite manga/anime though.

What would the point be? To fight random strong dudes or to touch little boys? Both?

The writer for one piece literally started writing the one piece story when he was a schoolboy. Not to mention there was romance dawn before the real one piece manga. Sorry buddy, maybe your patrician "deconstruction" shounen will finish one day though, meanwhile I'm gonna enjoy this fantastic arc of good ol' OP ;)
