build my own

If I'm rich my aim would be to stay rich anyway.

I'd buy one of those insane pre-builts. Even if I were to build it the same way, it wouldn't look as cool as those.

I'd still build my own just cause its fun, and adding what you want and customizing it is nice. I would of liked to thrown another 600 in mine just for LED's and extra stuff.

This was my argument, I don't think I'm good enough to actually make it look fancy.

build my own

Build my own. I've never seen a decent prebuilt that doesn't have some stupid decision like time-bomb PSU despite being very expensive

I'd buy the parts, assemble it, then pay someone to take it apart and rebuild it, then throw it out and buy a pre-built. I'm rich so I'll do both.

Filthy? I dunno probably pay someone to build it to my specs. Company built machines are overpriced like 200-400% and garbage and you'd need to wipe the fucking trash preinstalls anyway.

I'd buy my own top of the range parts then have someone else build it

You could always pay someone to build it for you.

Surface Studio

Pay someone to build it for me.

If I was rich rich I would buy the bare minimum I need. You don't become rich wasting money.

Are you retarded?

There is shops that build them for you. Costs like a hundred bucks and you dont have to deal with cable managment

where do the hard drives go?

Prebulds lack A E S T H E T I C S, so I would probably select parts myself, but would pay someone to build it.

So you're saying if you were a multi-million, spending a few thousand on a PC would do significant damage to your finances?

No, but it's an unnecessary purchase, I would and do minimize those.

Wouldn't matter how much I have/made, I'd build my own.

>only 1 power supply
heh

I already pay other people to build mine. It's an annoying faff getting everything just right that id rather avoid so long as I can. If I can't afford to pay for it then I probably can't really afford the build at all.

>msi
just fuck off with that trashcan

Build my own.

Custom builds are literally just 7+ piece LEGO sets. If you follow the instruction booklet (or fuck, one of the many youtube videos) you can have it up and running within an hour. You can also customize it however you like.

Prebuilts often have bloatware on them. You also have less customization if you buy it as one big package unless you go directly to a specialist or something.

I'm piss poor by your standards and I would still build my own.

If I was rich I would still build it. Rich people don't stay rich if they keep wasting money
And time. Because honestly - you would have to re-do cabling anyways.

>2x Titan V SLI
>TR 1950x
>128 GB 4000mhz
>2 TB 960 Pro
>only use it for shitposting and indie platformers

Yeah building your own is fun. Honestly the best bit about PC gaming is turning it on for the first time and having everything work and just looking at it for a bit.

It's all downhill from there.

i already successfully built a pc, but i would take a computer building course anyway. more knowledge is always good

what else could they teach you?

i dont know everything about computers, building one is easy

Some prebuilds are stupid insane and pleasingly aesthetic.
Just look at Pewdiepie's previous computer and his new one.
Holy shit man,

>computer building course
And this is why you won't be rich.

Maybe you would enjoy an automotive hobby

These guys get it

This, I built my computer and now I just do machine learning shit with it.

wwwwwwwwww

makes zero sense

>computer building course
People actually PAY for this kind of shit
Lmaoing on my chair as we speak

Or just do it myself, because I'm not a bitch.

have fun cable managing 2 power supplies

>can't shitpost effectively on consoles and there are aren't as many indie games
checkmate peasants

I'd finally buy that 3M low boiling point solution and build a truly silent beast

I would buy all the parts then pay a professional to assemble it. Are there even prebuilt variants of the "monsterous" tier on logicalincrements?

i'll finally get a decent sized ssd

I'll stick with what i have. There's no real reason to go full high tier with computers anyway.

Build my own, because it's fun

Thanks to cryptofags, it's frequently easier to get more bang for your buck on prebuilts that go on sale. This is probably the one time in computing history where you can get better bargains on a prebuilt then a self-built.

My mom-and-pop PC shop builds them for free if you buy the parts from them. The build ends up costing about 5-8% more per part, but they include a 3 year warranty on everything and they do a great job. The difference of maybe 50$ is worth it if I don't have to build it and get a warranty.

Ficking kek

This holy shit lmao. It's kinda funny.

fucking cryptofags

Build. I enjoy the experience of that 1st successful boot too much.
Honestly if I was loaded I'd try and become the ultimate anti-shill YouTube guy. I'd get 30 views but I like messing with computer parts anyways.

holy shit these brainlets. Those are just put together by a person. Are somehow not a person? You're literally saying you're subhuman

>implying most indie platformers aren't poorly optimized pieces of garbage
Hollow knight has fewer FPS than MGSV on my machine

holy shit this brainlet. They [patients] are just surgically fixed by a person. Are somehow not a person? You're literally saying you're subhuman

I'd build my own because it's pretty much stupid expensive adult legos.

You don't buy a lego millenium falcon to get somebody else to put it together. Half the fun of getting a new PC is putting it together and booting it up for the first time praying you didn't bend a pin on the CPU socket.

>Hollow knight has fewer FPS than MGSV on my machine

This is the POWER of Unity(tm)!

I'd probably buy a pre-build but not from some mainstream electronic store but from someone who specialises in high end PCs. I wouldn't want to fiddle around with the water cooling and shit.

I'd still build my PC, it's fun.

just spent 3k last 2 weeks and got all the parts delivered just now. I'm actually fucking scared to build, despite having the experience to build two before. Also, the downhill backlash you mentioned will be pretty hard after i realize imma only use it for mundane shit.

I'd probably build one then buy another prebuilt and buy like 3 monitors.

Probably copy somebody else's build

I'd buy pre-built from one of those boutique system builders that build really nice, aesthetically pleasing stuff in proprietary cases.

If you ever do get some money you should check out northwest falcon. They do premium work for premium prices.

With the way individual component prices are going, it'll probably be cheaper to just buy a prebuilt with the hardware you need.

Well their market is about to die so hopefully this changes soon

As long as you have warranties and don't overclock or use liquid cooling.

Though if you were rich, you could try them if you want.

As a rich person you don't waste time doing something yourself, you spend more money to waste less time

t. kid with rich parents

I'm a povertyfag which is how I learned how to build a PC to begin with but if I were rich then fuck yeah I'd pay someone to do it because fuck installing PSUs.

I would purchase a Falcon Northwest Mach V

I would still use a console. I hate using a mouse and keyboard and many exclusives don't get ported to PC.

buy a prebuilt and modify it

>crossfire
wouldnt that kill your hashrate ? also why the fuck would you need a case ,waste of energy

I would hire someone to play games for me.

This is ahegao, not ahoge. Ahoge is a hair antenna.

>not driving an itasha and cosplaying with it

This. Basically work is what your company says your time is worth. If you are rich, spending an hour or 2 building a PC can be a loss

nigger building it is literally half the fun, i'd build my own case too if steel bending/cutting wasnt that expensive

It's because the second chapter of MGSV uses the same frames as the first one.

I just built a desktop today. Everything brand new. First time in 10 years.

I forgot how fucking annoying it is squeezing shit inside a case, wiring and making sure everything is secure and clean.

Mini itx build with a Corsair water cooler loop is not fucking fun

Next time I'll just pick the parts online and have the goons build it for an extra hundred

If you’re over the age of 17 and have glowing neon lights in your PC, you should be ashamed of yourself.

This RGB shit is all new to me. Didn't have it when I was a teen.

My new build has fucking RGB lighting on the keyboard, mouse, cooler and gfx. Disabled it all straight away.

Cringe

Same. That “gamer edition” shit is beyond cringey and I can’t imagine anyone that isn’t still in high school thinking it looks cool. Also, why does nearly every “gaming mouse” these days look like a fucking transformer?

Was worse trying to find a decent monitor for the odd but of gaming that wasn't red or had shit sticking out of it.

One I got has a big fucking 3D logo on the base

youtu.be/hf7vY-HAMGs

Lmao I've got the same black nzxt case

Build my own because tinkering with shit is where the fun is. Any possible money saving is just a plus.

You didn't need to make a 2 minute video for a joke that simple

I'd build a fuckload of PCs I'd never use because I fucking love building PCs

I know a millionaire and she spends all day building and fixing PCs, and learning about new hardware since she doesn't have to work. Pretty envious.

>she

ROASTIES REEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Get that autism checked kid.

>I know a millionaire and she
You fucking her, right?

Build your own, same thing with your race car.

There's pride and soul into building things yourself. Even something as simple as a tower build.

people who are filthy rich stay filthy rich because they spend their money conservatively.

people who are filthy rich and spend their money indiscriminately wind up like MC Hammer or Michael Jackson, $200 million in debt.

but building your computer is just as easy and fun as playing with legos, you just need to get the parts you want. and if you are filthy rich it would be easy.

"""Building""" a PC takes like 1 to 2 hours depending on how much stupid bells and whistles you bought. I don't care how rich I am, I'm not fucking paying someone else to do that.

>putting together a computer is no different than surgery
holy shit I didn't realize I was no different than a surgeon. I should be pulling six figures in no time

Everything I know, I learned on youtube

I'd pay someone to assemble a custom build for me while I fuck whores.
