I start my turn by special summoning Grinder Golem to your side of the field in Zone 2, which gives me TWO tokens in exchange!
>Uhh, guys? Did Yug just give his opponent a 3000 ATK monster? >Yeah, Kaiba must be messing with his head...HANG IN THERE YUGI
I use my tokens to Link Summon Link Spider and Linkuriboh! >*Kuriboh sound* Now I combine them to summon Akashic Magician to Extra Monster Zone 2, returning Grinder Golem back to my hand!
>See? I knew Yug had a plan!
Now I special summon him again to your side of the field, giving me two more tokens! My tokens combine once more to form Security Dragon in Zone 4! Because it is co-linked with Akashic Magician, I can use its effect! GO SECURITY DRAGON! Grinder Golem returns back to my hand! Now I special summon him yet again, giving me 2 more tokens! Now I combine my tokens in tandem with my Security Dragon to form the ultimate FIREWALL DRAGON!!!
>Woah!! When did Yug get a card like That? Kaiba's done for!
Firewall Dragon returns my Grinder Golem back to my hand once again! But that's not the end of it! I summon Grinder Golem to your side of the field once more, giving me 2 tokens! I use Linkuriboh's effect on the graveyard to sacrifice a token in order to return it from the dead! It's not over yet! I combined Akashic Magician, Linkuriboh, and my token to make the mighty Saryuja Skull Dread in Extra Monster Zone 2! When my Linkuriboh goes to the graveyard, my dragon lets me special summon Fairy Tale - Luna from my hand! Now I use Luna's effect to return herself and Grinder Golem back to my hand! I summon it once more for 2 tokens! Now I use Saryuja's effect to special summon Luna again, and return her and Grinder Golem to my hand! GO Grinder Golem, for the last time!! Now I use all 4 tokens to summon another Firewall Dragon! Firewall Dragon returns Grinder Golem to my hand! I attack with EVERYTHING, leaving you with 200 life points! I set 4 cards face down and end my turn...
YOUR MOVE, KAIBA!
Chase Collins
Is this a legit series of moves you can do on turn 1?
Someone please answer.
Jacob Kelly
That's a nice monster you summoned. Would be a shame if anything...happened to it.

I don't know but I believe it. Modern yugioh is broken as fuck. That's why I play duel links on my phone
Gavin Clark
>no protection aside from shitty traps Would be a shame if I played this Dark Hole...
Dominic Allen
I summon Man Eater Bug in attack position!
Cameron Turner
Literally no one plays Dark Hole. It's 100% a side deck card. Being a top player doesn't mean having a deck that can deal with any situation. It means having a deck that can deal with anything in the meta and having a side deck that can supplement your strategy's weaknesses against rogue strategies so you can absolutely crush them in games 2 and 3.
Joseph James
Well I haven't played Yu-Gi-Oh in a while, so I had to look up all the cards he mentioned, and it does seem like you could do this with the assumption here is that his opponent has absolutely no cards on the field at all.
So it could be done but it's highly unlikely to happen
Daniel Wilson
It's a turn 1 combo, minus the attacking. You can go up to the point where you special summon a Luna from the hand and veer off into other strategies, for free. You literally use 1 card in your hand and still have 4 at the end to do your entire deck's strategy.
Carson Torres
A ghost ogre on the akashic magician breaks your entire combo.
Jayden Diaz
Yes, it can and does happen a lot.
It's generally a turn one play, so cards on the opponent's field aren't really a factor. If it's not turn one, then all you have to hope is that your opponent didn't summon a monster to one of the two zones underneath a link zone. Grinder Golem is a degenerate card.
Grayson Morales
has there ever been a medium more powercreeped than yugioh?
Carson Sanders
That's a nice board, it would be a shame if i happened
Kevin Jackson
I really like playing Yugioh, but my friend Isaiah sucks donkey dick at playing it.
Christopher Rodriguez
no because he attacked.
Chase Hughes
Most TCGs actually. The majority of the most overpowered cards in yuigoh were released in the first 3 volumes.

Its OCG only, japan has a boner for retarded masturbation combos, whereas in the only meta that matters (TCG) they instaban shit like this the second it hits shores.
Luis Peterson
Allright Yugi my turn. I'll start by tributing your second Firewall Dragon for Jizukiru, the Star Destroying Kaiju. He's quite the strong monster, unlike the trash you always use; however, he won't be staying on your field for very long. Next I'm summoning Denko Sekka to the field! Denko Sekka's special ability will stop any trick you had up your loser sleeves. While she's on the field, you can't activate any of your face down spell and trap cards, tough break! And Now that you can't stop this attack I'm going to wipe you off the map! I activate the magic card Power Bond! This lets me fuse together the Cyber Dragon Core and Drei in my hand to Summon Chimeratech Rampage Dragon! Due to power bond, my dragon's attack is doubled at the cost of me taking damage equal to it's original attack at the end of this turn; unfortunately for you, there isn't going to be another turn! By sending 2 electromagnetic turtles from my deck to my grave, my monster can attack 2 additional times. Go!, Rampage Dragon, attack his Firewall Dragon! And here's the best part! you're going to take even more damage than you think. From my hand, I activate Limiter Removal from my hand, doubling my Dragon's attack yet again! IT'S OVER.
Brayden Cox
Pokemon and all Bushiroad cardgames.

Im really starting to feel old. I played since yugioh came out, played it on Devpro and other simulators and defended synchro, xyz and pendulum on this board saying people should go with the time. But this? Its the first time Im confused as fuck and dont even want to learn it. It sounds like fucking rocket science and utterly over the top. But I do think that it might be for the best without knowing how the fuck it works. When I played (it was when pendulum was fairly new and those furry monk things where new) it was unbearable how certain decks shat out one synchro/xyz monster after another. As far as I understand this link stuff should kinda slow it down, so it sounds like a welcome thing. But fuck learning all of this stuff.

What is the point of such low stats fusions
Thomas Nguyen
Well, shit. Even more reason to stay away from it. I thought this whole link stuff was some kind of damage control because the game went out of hand?
Evan Reyes
Links did nothing but break the game further on top of butchering the rules to make old decks useless. You literally cannot make the plays you used to make anymore because Link rules state you can only have one Extra Deck monster out at a time unless you use Link Monsters.
Pendulums seemed complicated at first but actually ended up playing nice with existing mechanics and turned out to be a fun addition. Links are just straight up bad design.
Jaxson King
*summons Exodia* your move dweeb
Cooper Murphy
Early YGO (as in DM era) had no idea what to do with Fusions, so most of them ended up being useless. It took until GX for the game to start taking Fusions seriously.
Ethan Wood
No you cannot attack on turn 1
Jaxson Edwards
Except they didnt though. They even made new links that support old decks and now the best decks of the format are old ass decks Burning Abyss (AGAIN), Pends (AGAIN) and fucking Zefra.
Camden Martinez
Nowadays it is instant fusion fodder. I think back then it was just showboating to summon a fusion. Unless you had metamorphisis or cyber stien.
David Lee
there is not a single deck that cannot operate under link rules. It takes the same 3 card combo to summon quasar that existed beforehand as well.
Jackson Scott
...
Hunter Perez
Yeah, but they didn't slow the game down at all, and Links are more spammable than even Xyz ever were. And that Link support for old decks is merely a bandaid fix to get those old decks working again.
Sure, old decks would sometimes get new F/S/X/P support in the past, but it wasn't necessary to continue playing those decks as you have been. Link support is to literally RESTORE functionality that has been lost due to these retarded rule changes.
