What are some amazing games that will never get the recognition they deserve simply because they can't be emulated properly?

Boktai has been emulatable for at least eight years.

Yeah, but its not the SAME

Kirby Tilt n' Tumble. It pretty much only works on GBC and the orignal GBA, and I'm pretty sure the gyroscope (or whatever motion sensing device is in the cartridge) on most cartridges is busted. Not sure if anyone has put in the effort to try to emulate it properly, but it seems essentially like a dead game.

>Go into the sunlight
>Can't see shit because the GBA screen has no backlight
>Try to play on SP but the upper part block the sunlight
This game's gimmick was design by retards

>Biggest dream post-MGR was for a console Boktai game using the engine
>Lunar Knights style
>Sabata/Lucian plays like Raiden, Django/Aaron plays like Snake
>Checks local weather report to give accurate light levels

>Kojima leaves and the dream dies

So sad right now.

Any OG Xbox game.

i had this game as a kid and the sunlight bullshit was AIDS; never worked for me

Kojima was the producer for Boktai, and important position but with little creative input.

DS and all its features can be emulated pretty well, but fuck if The World Ends With You really cannot be ported to any platform that isn't the 3DS. I'm scared how the Switch port will turn out after the shitty phone port. And I guess the Wii U *had* the potential to be another platform that could handle the game fairly well, but that shit's no longer current unlike the 3DS which is still going in 20 fucking 18.

>go into yard on a bright summer day
>not a cloud in the sky
>gba aimed directly at sun
>sitting somewhere between two and three bars on the solar sensor
Thank God for gameshark where you can just have infinite solar, otherwise I would've binnee this game

if you lived in central america, the game would tell you to take cover from direct sunlight cause the sun is too fucking hot it damages the sensor

On the gbc/gba emulator for wii, you can use the gyroscope on the wii remote to control the game.

Yes, gyro support for the gyro games is implemented in the modern emulators. It's apparently a very simple piece of hardware.

The idea of contracting skin cancer at, like, 10 due to nips not taking into account basic astronomy in quite something.

I actually got frostbite as a kid because I woke up at 5 am in the winter to finish beating a boss, it only took me 5 minutes to beat him but at -40 I guess frostbite happens fast.

I didn't give a shit though, I couldn't keep playing until that boss was dead and I couldn't beat the boss until I had sunlight again, so I had to beat him before my parents woke up and made me get ready for school since it was dark again by 4pm

Jak and Daxter, and SpongeBob Battle for Bikini Bottom, but that's thanks to the weird issues with PCSX2, and some games on Dolphin

Gyro works on emulators

>Jak and Daxter on pcsx2
What a nightmare that was.
It was kind of funny seeing Jak's googly eyes in hardware rendering, though.
Too bad I couldn't take hd screenshots of the big tiddy girls because they got googly eyes in hardware rendering, too, and you can't upscale resolution in software rendering.

can you emulate the sun

I don't want to drag my fucking desktop outside

yes

You can emulate a full meter, but you can't emulate the actual feeling of using the solar sensor.
It adds something very intangible to the experience

more like adds a big fucking annoyance to the game

Just stand in the sun and do it lmao
