I've always felt like far cry is one of those game series that you dont even realize a game has been released months, maybe even years later, so you decide to pirate it and actually have fun, but not enough fun to justify paying $60. So you finish it and years go by, then you see its on sale on steam for 80% off, so you figure, why not? The least I can do is purchase the game for whats its worth, and maybe replay some of the earlier missions. So you do and you immediately regret it. Uplay garbage installs itself on your PC, asking for all sorts of permissions, and requires server syncing for animal records and shit no one cares about. So you refund it on Steam, and forget about the series until Ubi announces a new title. Anyone else ever feel like thats how far cry games are?

Aside from some obscure exclusives, Ubisoft or EA games are basically the only thing a console is good for. Buy the console when the price drops and get the games used or on sale. That said I've only ever bought 1 console as the rest were gifted to me by wealthy relatives.
