Source?

Reminder that vgchartz doesn't count for some reason despite being the first result every single time you look up a game's sales.

Nearing 500k is great, what are you smoking?

It doesn't count due to being based on guesses/estimations and not real numbers

NINTENDOMINATION

Are people seriously believing that vgchartz is actually a credible source now?

Why isn't it credible anyway? People always say "lol vgchatz" whenever someone brings it up and I've no idea why

>Japan: 100,000
nintendoeverything.com/xenoblade-chronicles-2-sold-through-70-of-its-initial-shipment-in-japan/

So according to VGchartz, XB2, which had nearly sold 100,000 in launch week in Japan, has only sold another 20,000 copies in the 6 weeks since?

This is why people don't trust that site's numbers.

It has a 'z' instead of an 's' in its name for starters

Because they make up numbers, there are no official numbers about Xenoblade besides the Japanese ones.

Yeah mediacreate says 70k+ since then, vgchartz just make up false numbers at usual.

Has there even been a case where VGChartz reported sales are way lower/higher than the ones officialy reported?

It doesn't count because of this:
We know that XC2 sold 97K in it's launch week in Japan.
4gamer.net/games/117/G011794/20171206087/

VGchartz currently lists Japanese sales of XC2 at 100K. So, according to VGchartz, XC2 has only sold 3000 copies in Japan in 7 weeks.

Because they make their numbers up. The only existing sales data in the world are for Japan with Famitsu and Media Create. The US has NPD which is monthly and only releases rankings with no numbers and every EU nation has its own tracking system that also doesn't give numbers. It's literally impossible for vgchartz to have accurate weekly sales data of any kind.

Literally everytime? Sometimes they go back and fix the numbers once the official ones are out but most of the time is just fake numbers pulled out of their asses.

Only if you consider Sonyboys people.

They reported sales of a game that was delayed, before it came out

>The only existing sales data in the world are for Japan with Famitsu and Media Create
And that's just physical. Trying to guess the digital sales is another crap shoot.

Official - vgchartz
>Nintendo DS: 938.59 million - 844.74 million
>Nintendo Wii: 919.07 million - 965.74 million

>splatoon 2 debuted higher in NPD in December than Xeno in it's launch month
lmfao

Only sometimes, at that. For instance they have Disgaea 5 on PS4 at a ridiculous 350k when the last data officially shared by NIS put it at 172k, and there was one time when they didn't get the memo that a game's US release (Arc Rise Fantasia IIRC) got delayed and they put out fake numbers for its originally planned release date.

>literally the best selling xenoblade game in history

thank you anime tiddies

>2018
>using vgchartz

Oh yeah they also have Bayo 2 at nearly 1 mill even though the game never charted in NPD and never got official numbers in the west by Nintendo due to how big of a flop it was, they just make shit up

Not enough BING BING WAHOO for the Nintendo fan base
