What is it that people prefer in Dark Souls 3 over Bloodborne?
I own and enjoy both.
LOL NICE 1 LMAO
I don’t get it. Is he in shock at how terrible Dark Souls 3 is?

This thread is gonna be a good one , I can feel it
Sometimes I wonder if there's ever been a genuine opinion on Sup Forums, and not ones that have just been adopted to try and piss off other people.
why he spit his oatmeal???
No one would realistically prefer 3 over BB. It’s just not possible outside of pure contrarianism.
OP here
>better combat
>better music
>better performance
>but m-muh lovecraft
Thats another game
>pure contrarianism
>no argument
as expected of bb brainlets
Both game are shit. Dark souls 2 was the final and only good souls game.
Edit: holy shit all this salt! Glad I'm cooking tonight because I needed it lol
Bloodborne is objectively a 6/10 game tho, I wish it wasn´t a exclusive so PC neckbeards could see how mediocre it is and stop crying about it
The cashier at gamestop had the same opinion as OP. Then again she said "I think most people who like dark souls hate bloodborne" which just seems retarded to me although I haven't played bloodborne yet.
This, but unironically.
I don't understand. There's definitely frame drops when you go there, and it's especially bad if you have summons and actually fight the enemies. But this video doesn't make it look as bad as it actually is.
>subpar frame pacing means a game is impossible to enjoy
imagine being this cuck'd. I've seen far worse than this.
>>subpar
it´s awful
Want me to record a video going through central yharnam? Game feels like it was programed by a monkey
Not having to fucking farm up on vials every time you fail a boss battle. That's pretty fucking nice.
...
I'm saying this is a bad video to do what they're trying to do. Also Blight Town has HORRIBLE FPS drops. I'm not sure about how it runs with DSfix though.
I personally enjoy Bloodborne more than DaS3 or 2, but I need to reply 1 to see if it's still my favorite.
No, I own the game can go there myself. It's I defintiely don't think it's nearly as bad in Central Yharnam.
It gets bad in the chalices too sometimes.
Well I don´t, the stuttering triggers me to no end and made me thought that there was something wrong with my ps4 at first
I would honestly agree with you had this been awhile back, but at this point I just buy them after boss fights early on to stock up on them. It can suck farming them in Central Yharnam, but it isn't too bad with runes.
I was thinking of Cathedral Ward, my bad. Yeah, idk what they were thinking putting all those enemies and the bonfire there, it gets really awful.
I would honestly get a PS4 Pro ONLY for a 60fps Bloodborne patch. I saw somewhere that they won't do it because it will put an unfair advantage in PvP.
the stuttering would look even worse
making vials a consumable that can resupply in the field, limit spam and make rally important was a good idea.
how many of these are there
??????????????
yeah blighttown has pretty bad fps drops on console as well
Only if you haven't seen games that actually have shit frame pacing. Go take a look at the Vice City release on PS4. It's a PS2 game and it performs way worse than Bloodborne.
Bloodborne's performance is perfectly acceptable, if you aren't completely autistic.
Anyone capable of thinking for five seconds would realize that everything you just said would be compatible with and improved by an estus-like system. Lower the amount you get at checkpoints and let it be refilled by dealing damage or rallying.
FROM just enjoys forgetting all progress they make.
>liking either game
Found the sixteen year old
the entire reason it wouldn't work is because of the estus system you dunce. You remember the life crystals from dark souls 2? that was essentially a prototype of that. with estus you'd never try to use the blood vials, just like healing with humanity. it just wouldn't make sense.
you make it a limited resource which creates an importance of health (or blood, fitting with the theme). you see a lot of beginners spam the health vials, they then force themselves to farm a few and treat them like rare commodity. it did need some tweaking but it was a very good idea and paired well with rally like I said.
sometimes you need to break the mold to put people out of their comfort zone.
I like that you can parry when they use the vials, I wish there was something along those lines in DaS (I guess backstab is pretty much the same)
>I like that you can parry when they use the vials,
?
Fashion Souls.
>with estus you'd never try to use the blood vials, just like healing with humanity. it just wouldn't make sense.
It's estus-style blood vials instead of how they are now, you dunce.
The rest of your post is again nonsense, as you're acting like conserving estus via mastering rally is not something that would be required if the amount is appropriately tuned.
If you're fighting someone and they use a vial, you can shoot them and it puts them in the visceral postion.
I think Bloodborne is a tighter, better designed game, but for some reason Dark Souls 3 has way more replayability
and? I assume your atrocious performance in school hasn't made you a bad person.
because a lot of the unique weapons that some builds revolve around in BB take an obnoxious amount of effort to acquire
>go bloodtinge for chikage and evelyn cheese
>both require you to clear cainhurst with trash weapons that don't scale with your build up to that point
its not, people would treat each hit like a break into their pocket.
again it worked and I'm very willing to bet they tried the estus system and playtesters wouldn't try to use rally because they had an unlimited supply of "estus" that taking a chance to get it back wasn't worth it. It's likely to assume this when people never took chances in dark souls they were accustomed to just hiding behind the shields.
Bloodborne had to try something new and changed the core, I'm shocked really how many people couldn't accept it.
>this projection
holy shit
I'm not sure how well it scales, but putting a point in BLT for it to reach level 8 for my STR/SKL 50/50 build seems to be doing decent damage. Ever since the beginning when all my stats were low.
It's on PC
I'm firing blind because trying to parse your post for meaning is nearly impossible, bear with me.
>playtesters wouldn't try to use rally because they had an unlimited supply of "estus" that taking a chance to get it back wasn't worth it.
What the fuck are you smoking. There is little reason to rally in BB as is because the punishment is that you'll have to waste a minute or two farming at some point in the future (assuming you don't just get enough echos to buy more vials). The punishment for running out of estus is that you'll have to backtrack or risk moving forward. If the game gave you only, say, two vials that could only be refilled by rallying then players sure as fuck would be encouraged to rally.
>Bloodborne had to try something new and changed the core
People are complaining that they did not try something new or refined what they had, and instead reverted to the failed Demon Soul's system.
I would say Dark Souls 3 has worse replayability because it's really long and has a few boring areas and lame bosses. Bloodborne is short and every area and boss is pretty good.
I played through bloodborne maybe 10 or more times but I only got through Dark Souls 3 twice, if I start a new playthrough I get bored easily because the thought of going through boring areas doesn't help my motivation to keep going.
Having two means you can't tempt rally, having more than two means you can try to get some back but if you get hit you're not simply down half of your vials.
I honestly don't know whats the confusion.
You make a mechanic in a game that puts people out of their comfort zone, make that mechanic moderately more efficient and time saving and people will attempt it. they might fail but its fun to try and with say 20 vials you have a pretty good safety net.
Yet I played through Bloodborne 11 times and Dark Souls 3 only 6
DaS3 has the worst replayability for me because the balance sucks like most Souls games but they never bothered to patch it like the others.
It's hard for me to justify playing as heavily when all roads lead to pretty much the same build.
I'm in the same boat. I try to replay Dark Souls 3 but I get bored once I hit Cathedral of the Deep.
