I think the default controls/options in the beta were ass.
I tweaked a couple of options and the game felt much better to play

I'm hyped as ever but going to wait for the PC release, the FPS on a normal ps4 was noticeably bad. I guess playing most games on PC on a 144hz monitor really spoiled me.

The radial menu was by far the most annoying thing about the control scheme. Also, is there a way to switch R1 and R2? Attacking feels a lot better with R1.
The R2 attack normally isn't a attack.
It's a block, stance change or a charge which a trigger would be better fit for.
So what makes this one a true monster hunt? The running around? The higher quality graphics? The worldly interaction?
