Great, tons of vidya, both bootlegs from china (which was extremely positive, since I got to play a lot of Famicom classics that never came out in the west officially for NES), and also official consoles and games. Nintendo had a strong presence here during the 90s, and bootleg Sega and Sony stuff was everywhere, as well as PC.
Basically, piracy and official stuff, best of both worlds.
Also tons of arcades everywhere.
I was an idort for 4th and 5th gen, I think it was the best time to be into video games in general.
6th gen, things became meh, 7th gen and current is just all downside.

Everything not named Mario Pokémon and FIFA is a bitch to find.

Very good internet connection. Ping to EU is usually within 50ms, ping to local stuff is 8-15ms.
Prices are insane because ruble is a piece of shit. Games like WoW/FFXIV aren't even regarded as playable by students because the subscription is quite an expense.
Nobody speaks english, so you can't really grab some of your friends and hop on EU servers in an MMO game. They simply wouldn't be able to communicate in order to farm the end game content (raiding or pvp).
Kinda sucks that we usually get games translated by domestic companies, but sometimes EU localizators also let us into their games
Steam prices are somewhat reasonable. I believe they're among the cheapest ones, alongside india and such shit

Players are usually somewhat skilled. It's a hit or miss. They're either extremely casual, or they are some insane tryharders.
Women aren't regarded as humans (which makes sense), so there is very little SJWing and orbiting going on. But it's still there to some extent, in social games like MMOs usually. Generally nobody wants to play with a female in a competitive game, because everybody knows they suck at games, they're drama queens, attention whores and they would only disrupt the team in the long run.

Never buying anything. I found out the Nintendo 64 was a console and not just an emulator (lol wat is emulator I liek los games) somewhat late.
Of course, being really good in English because you had to learn to read in order to read the instructions for that shitty Tekken combo.
